I wonder if any Grambling fans will show up to cheer --or jeer-- their chief rival? It's got to be hard for die-hard Grambling fans to pass up this show only 3 miles away from home.

HD, Grambling is doing well to have 5K in Grambling for a home game. Remember they only sent over a few hundred when we beat the snot out the the best SWAC team ever in Ruston.

My sources say that no less than 50 SU affiliated RVs have already reserved parking spaces for this game.
They'll be camped out as far away as Memorial gym

That's good news. In the pasts we have turned away RV's saying, "we only have room for ..."

I am all for testing ways to get more tailgating closer to campus. This seems like it could be a good start.

I know that area will be green space, I think incorporating a parking lot for tailgating and RV would be great around there.The walk isn't bad to the stadium.
Our gameday tailgating footprint has been concentrated around the stadium. If our attendance grow, the tailgating footprint will need to expand to other area of campus. Memorial Gym, Neilson/Caruther Greenspace would be a good start.

I know this is crazy, but maybe we can generate more income by selling more parking passes for the parking lots that currently are home to a bunch of tents. Wouldn't it be awesome if our parking lot was for parking and tailgate area was for tailgating? I think so.

Those tailgate spots create much more income than the parking lot spots they offset.
