Governors and mayors are suppose to in a states right government like we have here in America. Governors and mayors have become to complacent as they always begging for federal help, money, assistance vs handling their own issues; which they have every right to do. Did you know that Trump and his ADM have been having to teach and relearn the governors on their rights to actually act? Many governors and mayors have been acting totally helpless and of course political.

Of course I don’t think governors should be able to close their state borders. That is why I think we need a federal response.

Exactly. Federal government had to rely on state and local governments to be the "front lines" in disasters like this so that those at the federal level can direct federal aid to where it is needed most. Federal response has historically been slow in several cases. Many slammed Trump for saying that Governors were "own their own", which of course was false. All he was saying is that Governors and mayors have the right to get critical supplies "own their own" if they can get them quicker than the fed can respond. Governors all the time take "business trips" to foreign countries to try to get foreign business money, manufacturing etc. in their state. Why would reaching out directly to manufactures of masks, ventilators, etc. be any different?

Because governors are competing with each other for the same limited medical supplies. If Louisiana is competing against New York for limited ventilators and masks, Louisiana will most likely not get their share.

How are they going to distribute the ventilators they just ordered GM to make?

There is a federal system to distribute organs, which there aren’t enough of to meet demand, so I am sure the feds could use a similar system for other critical supplies.

Trump told GM(Obama's Government Motors) to take a hike after they, bailed out Government Motors, tried to price gouge the American people. What a shame and scam! Trump was PISSED and rightly so!! Now if it changed late last night then we will see what GM can do.

But you obviously didn't watch yesterday's update from the WH due to your TDS.

Ford needs some major props for getting after it!! Not worthless Government Motors. I will still never by a GM product again, which I haven't in 20+ years.
