That is "Tollsa, Oklahoma."
Always been that way long as I remember. HE Bailey, Indian Nations, I-35 and I-44. I don't know about I-40 but it's probably toll, too. Don't want to pay the tolls take the alternate route. I believe each has a parallel highway that is free. I took US 75 instead of the Indian Nations by mistake one time and found it wasn't too bad. At least on it there wasn't much traffic.
Anyone remember the old Dallas-Ft. Worth toll road? It's now free and part of I-30. However, they've added enough toll roads in the Dallas area to make up for it. Here in Houston they're adding toll roads right and left. Sam Houston (Beltway 8), Hardy (north loop to Spring), and finally the Grand Parkway (99) where it's going to be controlled access. We also have the toll lanes on I-10 west from the west loop to Katy. So, at least here in Houston we shouldn't complain about toll roads. I'm afraid it's going to be common in the future if we want more controlled access highways (almost called them freeways). Like they just added the high speed toll road (85 mph speed limit) from Austin to I-10 just east of San Antonio (Seguin).
