Okay, maybe it's just a silly rumor.
But, in general, as it pertains to hosting so-called "big" opponents, play 'em in Ruston. We hosted Miss State in Ruston. Wasn't close to sell-out, plenty of room for everyone. In 1999 we played aTm in S'port and there were about 15K Aggie fans, in 2003 we played Okla State in S'port and maybe 7K Boys' fans were there.
Play at Aillet. If it sells out, great! Bring in temp seating if someone thinks more seats can be sold.
Period.

First of all, it is a rumor.
Second, West Virginia just pulled out of the game with Florida St for 2012.........let A&M play them.
Third....if true.....good. Buckle your chin straps and play ball. We "want" to have a great season and go to the BCS but we "want" to play cupcakes to get there?????
Now, I agree if this is true, it would have to be in Ruston to make sense.

How much are we getting from Illinois or Virginia and would a buyout of one of those be possible? I also guess it doesn't matter what Houston thinks of us either so we could dump them. Is it possible that an A&M game in Shreveport could be a home game for us in Shreveport replacing a money game to give us 7 home games? Maybe A&M would control the money and give us 20K tickets to sell at $40 each ($800K) for the Shreveport game and a cool million for us to come to College Station in 2013.
Email Reneau/BVDV if you don't want it in Shreveport, point out that ULL had A&M in Lafayette this past season. Post you're email (and response) received here, otherwise you words are hollow and meaningless.
I hate all this, "we've done that already it doesn't work" talk. S/B is the fastest way to increase our casual fan base and saying "never play there again" is like me saying because I haven't made my first million I'm going to quit trying!
We all know there were problems last time. The biggest problem being the opponent! If this happens lets force the addinistration to address the problems from last time and assure us things will be different.
I think the years of living under the era of "we can't" has worn off on a few of you.
OK if this is true lets make the best of this. I don't think it is a bad thing to play a game in Shreveport every once in a while to tap into that market. I have said this for years. Sure I would much rather play them in Ruston but that is not going to happen just yet. Hopefully over time it will but for now lets make the best of it and show them we can compete. GO DAWGS!!!!!

Regardless of if it's good for the program, it just says smalltime to me. Can anyone think of a college that schedules "home games" at neutral locations? Little Rock? You know who I'm talking about.

I'm OK with it. Since it is unexpected revenue, maybe we can put it all towards Q4E.
