Nice. Congrats Dawgs!!! So LA Tech beat the team that beat North Carolina 84-83 last Friday.
Re: Bahamas Summer of Thunder - Game Thread
Notes -- Rahee Appleby led the way with a team-high 21 points. Kyser and Davis added 16 and 14, respectively.
Re: Bahamas Summer of Thunder - Game Thread
Notes -- Speedy Smith nearly pulls off a triple-double with seven points, eight rebounds and 11 assists #WeAreLATech
Somehow, that doesn't look like a triple double to me. Failed to note the "nearly".

Re: Bahamas Summer of Thunder - Game Thread
Sounds like the last game the newbies took over but against tougher competition the veterans got it done.
Hang on kids. It's going to be a season to remember.
Re: Bahamas Summer of Thunder - Game Thread

Not to be a Debbie downer but the Providence Storm were beat by Ohio State 115-65.
These games are glorified pick up games. Definitely a positive. Especially this season. Will help us in the long run. Doesn't mean were are better than UNC or that we would get trounced by Ohio State.

It's August. AUGUST! And the Dunkin' Dogs are together for 10 practices and 3 games and a few days in paradise. Talk about a nice way to bring newcomers into a program.

I might be wrong but I believe I saw that Providence was without 3 or maybe 4 of their best players against Ohio State. In fact I read it on an ACC website that talked about them beating UNC. Certainly this trip is nothing more than a chance for this team to jell and bond but we are on the verge of a very, very, special season. Anything less than a trip to the dance is a failure in my opinion.

I agree. That was my not so well stated point.

I read somewhere that the Providence Storm team beaten by Ohio State was without some of the leading scorers from the team that beat the UNC Tarheels. I read articles about games in previous years some and they reported the rosters of these teams change - sometimes from game to game. These factors make it tough to do score comparisons against a common opponent to determine the better team.

I read that same article, but couldn't remember where until I saw your post. You beat me posting because I was trying to remember where I read it. A phone call slowed me down.
Added in edit: Thanks for helping an old man remember something - even though it is very insignificant in the scheme of things. Do you have a cure for senior forgetfulness of more important things?
