Playing in Waco is not a bad deal for LA Tech fans either. Waco is an easy 4-hour car drive for most fans coming over from Louisiana. And even closer for those of us LA Tech fans already living in Texas. We should be able to draw a very good LA Tech crowd to Mclane Stadium. This could really help our Texas recruiting as well.

So you think that our 31 year-old AD may be worth something?

LA Tech should be able to MAKE big money with Baylor coming to Ruston in 2021. We'll probably have to bring in some temporary stands, etc.... to take the numbers up to 35K+.......but that HOME game could be worth between $1.2 and $1.5M, depending on what we charge ($45 or $50) per ticket.

That's funny. Or just sad.
Can we at least agree that T-Mac will have to do MORE than schedule just one football series to prove he's "worth something" as a Div 1 AD?

I was just joshing you. I agree that scheduling this one series is not worthy of a raise.

We'll have to wait and see with this one. Remember, the JUCO scheduled a home-and-home with Baylor, not a 2-for-1.
For this reason and this alone, I am calling fail. If nlulm can get a home and home, then we can. If we can't, we have piss poor negotiators.

Buffalo just finished two home-and-homes (not 2-for-1s) with Baylor:
- 2007 at Buffalo and 2010 at Baylor
- 2013 at Baylor and 2014 at Buffalo
Re: Baylor on the schedule
a body bag game is a body bag game is a body bag game. none of us are talking about the possibility of winning, just how much we will make

Further proof that we are considered junior high by our peers. No one takes us seriously. Until we warrant and demand it, I expect the same I guess.

Apples and oranges. I would argue that scheduling Baylor in football today is much more difficult to do than when NLU first scheduled them back in 2008 or '09. Baylor has come a long way in the last 6 or 7 years. The Bears are a consistent Top 10 football program now, with back to back Big XII football championships now. That wasn't the case back when NLU scheduled 'em. No way this is a "fail", unless you're just looking for something to bitch about.

See my previous posts. Apples and oranges. You guys have got to quit being so myopic. This is 2015, not 2007. Also, from a recruiting perspective, scheduling Baylor in football makes a lot more sense for LA Tech than it does for Buffalo.

You posted it on our public forum. The one than all the peon posters see. Those of us who've kissed the ring knew about this series weeks ago, but didn't need to pull an announcement out of a body orifice just to win the contest that only exists for those who want to be like us. Would you like to be in the club? It will cost you MUCH more than you pay to get second hand info on BTB.

BYU didn't make the cut to get into the Big XII, which is why we aren't playing them. We got the home and home with Baylor as we will have with all of our conference opponents starting in 2020.
Re: Baylor on the schedule
They beat us out of a minimum $250,000 dollars...
Not a fan of 2 for 1's with anyone.
Puts a HUGE hole in the budget those 3 years
