As much as I hope qualified women will be hired as NFL officials, I also hope people are smarter than to think more female officials = fewer female victims of domestic violence.

It's a double standard to expect perfection from a ref who happens to be female when the same is not expected of a ref who happens to be male. All officials should be held to the same standard.

Nope, it is today too. People would be shocked at some of the ways we discriminate these days. The govt. is doing it big time. Being qualified for the positions doesn't matter anymore.

Honestly, from way up in the stands, you can't really tell unless you pay super close attention.
