ruston beat ouachita last night, playing some really good ball. the O'line is making a difference for them and openning some big holes for the RB's that are taking advantage. Dont think they are to the point that they'll scare West Monroe, still having lots of mental hiccups and you have to play perfect to have a chance at the rebels
The West Monroe Rebels blanked the Ouachita Lions 20-0 on Thursday night in District 2-5A action. Here is some of the video action I got on the Rebel offense and the defense.

Wreckin Rams smash Sam Houston 82-41 last night. 56-41 at half. Looks like one team made halftime adjustments. SH is now 6-2.
Looks like district will once again be Acadiana or Barbe. They meet next Friday in lake Charles.
Very pleased with our second year coach. I just wish we we’re a bit more of a threat to throw the ball.
Acadiana still running that "smash mouth" running attack?
I hope Louisiana will dump this stupid separation of public/private playoff and go back to all 5A schools enter ONE 32-team bracket. After 2012 we've had no true state champions in any class.
Yes 80 still running the veer. Although I have heard the announcers talk about an inverted wish I never formation being used
Rummel 16 St. Augustine 12 Now 8-0.
Tough start. St. Aug ran the opening kickoff back, then less than a minute later added a pick-6. Missed both PATs but led 12-0 quick! Raiders defense was stout, as usual, even adding a safety for 2 points, until the offense finally got going enough to pull it out.
Rummel 21 Curtis 20 (OT) Now 9-0
Trailed 14-0 in 1st qtr but defense kept us in it, until the offense got going.
We will probably see them guys again...
Acadiana took care of Barbe last night 70-14. I don’t know if we are this good or the district is down a bit this year.
Some video highlights from Friday night's 40-0 win by West Monroe over Pineville.
The 8-1 WM Rebels used their #Taysom Hill H-Back, Fullback, Slotback, Tailback added Wildcat and Passing QB to his package.
Rebels host Ruston on Thursday for the 2-5A sole championship.

That was an iincredible high school football game. Perhaps one of the better games in the nation this year! FBS commits on the field everywhere!
I also thought CST did a great job in televising it. Between those 2 and Catholic High (Baton Rouge) you might just have 3 of the top 10 teams in the nation. Curtis was ranked 11th coming into the game.
There's lots of good football in Louisiana. We are in the top 5 in the nation, consistently...as a state, I mean.
Within Louisiana the Catholic League (District 9-5A) is among the best, top to bottom. Last night Jesuit beat a very good Hahnville team 24-14. And they are up next for Rummel. Just another tough game.
But yeah, seemed like every time a player was mentioned last night there was a long list of teams recruiting him. Tulane has several commits between Rummel and Curtis. Bodes well for the Wave. Curtis' 6th-year QB! (or so it seems) Collin Guggenheim, is headed to West Point. He will do well running that vaunted Army rushing attack. And Curtis' OL is bigger than many FBS teams'. Both tackles go 325 lbs. Sheeesh!
It’s not his style, but I wouldn’t want to face David Franklin’s tors once they’ve reloaded after I put 70 on them in a down year.
