I only bet against Tech. That way if Tech loses, at least I get paid. But if I lose, at least Tech wins. (I like to pretend I "bought" Tech a win.)

Sometimes Tech wins, but doesnt cover. Those are fun. Sometimes Tech loses, but covers, so that sucks. But those games are usually a wash over the course of a season.

That's all hypothetical of course. I dont actually gamble.

Southern Miss is -200 to win, and Louisiana Tech is +165 to win.

Someone please explain for me how that last part (Southern Miss is -200 to win, and Louisiana Tech is +165 to win) works.
