I used to drive to Winnfield, sit in the parking lot of Walmart and listen to the Dunkin' Dawgs on a local station when they were playing a road game I couldn't go to, which was most of the road games. Never missed a home game when Malone played and made a bunch of road games too. My favorite places to travel to were Lafayette and Beaumont for the big showdowns with two very, very tough opponents.
Anyway, glad Tech (Learfield) has us on the local station here. But, just makes me miss the ole Nitzer even more.
Smith, Bailey, Godbolt, Malone, Simmons - if that is right what a starting five. I was living in Florida and found a place that had a satellite, early days of such. Still can't believe Tisdales shot went in. I think the yr before we lost to Houston in a tight game. Seems they went on to win NC.

Starting five was: Malone, Simmons, and Godbolt on the frontline, and Smith and Alan Davis at guards. Bailey and later Willie Bland were the #6s, first subs off the bench.

Thanks. Upon reflection it may have been Ohio St game on satellite and Oklahoma available on cable. Anyway, a while back
