By then, here in the US, we had peace and prosperity so Gen Xers grew up in a stable time and, as a generation, didn't have to "want" something. It was there for them. Yes, because Boomers was (is) the WORKING generation, two-income households, our kids were "latch-key." But we were also heavily involved in their lives. I coached all my kids in various sports. That meant putting in a long day at work, then dashing straight to ball practice, then not getting home until after 6:30-7:00, then checking their homework, getting them fed, and finally, around 9PM or so, whew! some personal time to relax.
My wife and I, both proud Boomers, are retired and set for life financially, yet we both still work, at least part-time. I still get a W2! It's who we are...the WORKING generation. Now we are raising two of our grandkids as their parents try to get their lives on a path of dependable financial means. Happy to report they are making strides.
Carry on...
If only that were the whole story. You guys also cut your own taxes, while cutting support for programs that benefited you while not giving up any of your own entitlements, leaving your progeny with massive government debt and less opportunity.

If you hate globalism, you must love inflation.

We didn’t have inflation until you people unleashed the China virus and “the adults” took over. That’s one reason you pussies hated bad orange man so much.

Coronavirus has nothing to do with globalism. That was coming here no matter what the economic situation was. Neither economies or borders stop its spread.
But you have been given a short demo of what anti-globalism looks like. The fact that anti-globalism causes inflation isn’t exactly a secret. That is Econ 101 material.

Oh man as much as I'd like to get in on this boomer hate derail, I want to go ahead and say that I support any move that never has us change the clocks again whether it be standard time or DST. Pick one and let's go. We can revisit the issue after one year and see if we really want the other option.
Hopefully we can some other things through congress that aren't so partisan- like getting rid of the penny or voting Florida out of the union.

This should be the next obvious bi-partisan "kumbaya" easy win.
Which means those idiots will never get around to it.

What’s the difference? We are all going to be clamoring to hide in District 13 soon anyway.

But I assume DC would be returned to Maryland in the event of a mass dissolution. Or perhaps left as a parting gift to the empty suits.
