Re: 2022 Coaching Carousel
Karl Dorrell is out at Colorado. Really this is a mercy killing.
FWIW only two teams without a win so far this season. Colorado and Colorado State.

High standards at Wisconsin. Paul Chryst fired today. 67-26 (.720 winning percentage) in 7 seasons, $16.4 million buy-out. 43-18 (.705 winning percentage) in the Big 10.
He will be back soon somewhere. Every team he has ever coached has been in a bowl.

This is one I truly don't understand
Re: 2022 Coaching Carousel
Very similar to Holtz. The last two seasons got him fired along with the start of this one.

I don’t get it either. It’s one thing to expect Tech to win 10 games in a conference that Evangel could dominate. It’s another thing to expect Wisconsin to play in and win the conference title every year while playing Michigan, Penn St, Ohio St and (usually strong) Iowa.

Join the crowd. Wisconsin just fired a guy with a greater winning percentage than Barry Alvarez. The talking heads are giving everyone this is the new world of college football line.
I thought when Wisconsin got rid of Alvarez as AD that quality, winning football coaches would stick around for a while, now they fire one. Maybe the are trying to become the next Nebraska.
Seriously though, can they get Urban Meyer? Would he ensure fewer upset loses? And, close the gap between Wisconsin and Ohio State? When you fire a coach you have to know you can get a better one. How many guys are available that will be a better fit than Paul Chryst? Guys who would take the job. Guess we are about to find out.

LMAO. That's the exact comparison all the talking heads are using today to explain this. :rolleyes4:
Re: 2022 Coaching Carousel
Just go back and look at the last 5 years records including this year. He had one good year.
Re: 2022 Coaching Carousel
Looks like Sonny Dykes is rolling at TCU (4-0). TCU donkey stomped Oklahoma 55-24.

I feel bad for these coaches. Only getting half his buyout money for underperforming must be tough.

Guice, like Reneau, is probably the nicest guy you will ever meet. We need ruthless business people making decisions with people under them who can smooth the water when their boss comes on too strong.
I agree with everything you said. We've had nice professors in charge far too long...

Reneau hired an LSU hall of famer to be AD because his wife was good friends with Stovall’s wife. That set Tech athletics back 10 years right there.

Anyone know what census day enrollment for Fall 2022 is?
Crickets.
I can't remember a year when fall enrollment wasn't released by the end of September. 2021 enrollment was released on September 29, 2021.
