I’d say a 227 differential between the current CUSA teams leaving and what’ll be next year’s teams is very much considerable.

Tech has barely managed to play two good games back to back all season.

FINAL: Middle Tennessee 7, #LATech 6
A dramatic 9th-inning comeback attempt falls short
Blue Raiders pitching staff came to play today.
Bulldogs will play for their season tomorrow in a rematch against Charlotte at 2 p.m.
It’ll be doubly tough to out hit Charlotte on what will undoubtedly be a depleted pitching staff day.
This is what doesn’t make sense to me. You know Crigger, Gibson, Jennings, and Whorff are all gone at the end of last year. Thompkins and Fincher are the only decent arms you know are coming back. None of our other guys we had could be counted on for more than 3 outs. Somehow Harland bulldogged his way to some success last year which never materialized this season. How does that slip through the cracks when recruiting? In truth, we needed 3 all conference level arms in the transfer portal to be competitive this year.
It’s called bad decision making coaching (Burroughs) and bad recruiting (Burroughs, Gaspard & Fouts) and bad seasonal player development coaching (Fouts). Just wait until you see how it plays out tomorrow. And then there’s the story that Sparks is unavailable to play because of grades. How does that happen when the team is supposed to have leadership.
We lost an all conference CF guy who, without a doubt, would have given us 10 more wins. Lack of leadership? Yes, by our HC.
Yeah, but I’m not convinced those 10 wins would have meant anything come tournament time. Pitching, pitching, pitching.
