If we are going to talk authentic Mexican, I hate the "authentic Mexican" places in Houston. The dont have near enough the dairy products I like to put on my fajitas. It is a little more bare bones like what you would think of some poor Mexican living in Mexico would like. the fajitas are just tortillas, beans, and rice, period. Pico's is a place in Houston if you are ever in town and want to experience true Mexican, not my taste. As far as Americanized Mexican, El Teimpo is hard to beat here in Houston. Fajitas come with cheese, sour cream, and butter sauce for dipping. The homemade tortillas are found at all places here, though.
