how is saying we have a chance to beat lsu putting all of our eggs in one basket? should we just give up on winning that one since it doesn't count towards winning the wac? it's one game, and probably the biggest single game of the year. the wac schedule is cumulatively much more important than any one game, but you are comparing apples to oranges.

go into every game expecting to win, and have a short memory win or lose. that is the only way to go through a season.

Ahh you know, you are either too on hard to talk about LSU or too on hard to not talk about LSU on this board, you cannot just discuss our game with them, it is impossible without someone getting their panties ina bunch one way or another.

Good grief guys. We start to experience a little success and folks go off on a tangent about a game that's 12 months away. The sad part is that our fans seem to care more about a game that will likely mean NOTHING to us next year, and damn sure doesn't mean anything this year. As a wise man said..."We are in the middle of an six game winning streak"...folks want to talk about the lsu game.:o:icon_roll:

FWIW, I was never one of those who wanted to play this game in the first place. Not this one, or the one last year or the one before that. Playing lsu on Bertman's terms just like all the other UL schools just doesn't excite me.

If the game doesn't matter, then why is it on the schedule? And why is it okay to have threads about the USM game next year, but not the lsu game next year? Do we need to move the USM threads to the Dawg Pit, too?

Oh, I get it, you didn't want us to play the "big scawwy tigews," so nobody else can talk about it in a "respectable" forum like football. :icon_wink:

Yep, moving this to the pit just confirms our inferiority complex.

Just blows my mind that somebody would want to discuss this game while there are so many other great TECH topics right now that concern this year's schedule. Most discussions about future opponents (like USM) are taken up when we are in a lull. You know, the kind of lull we've been in for seven years.:icon_wink:

I really wanted to move the thread, but figured it was important to some of our members so I was nice.:angel: However Doc is a harda$$, but NOBODY can question his fandom.:icon_razz:

We can save it for the off-season. There isn't alot of talk about the Auburn game which we have a MUCH better chance of winning. This subject only got brought up because of the DREAM that we able to compete with them right now.

THIS SEASON we still have 3 and most likely 4 games to play. You kids can have 10 months of your lspoo obsession starting in Jan 2009.

Where are there threads about the USM game?? There is one thread (that I see) about when the game was announced and that's about it.

the lspoo game gets a new thread every week. Come on now... it's different.
