If nlulm wants to sign up for a one-and-done game like the other local FCS schools, that is fine with me. Or, if we want to use nlulm as a 7th home game, that is also fine with me.

I like the one and done in a 13 game schedule and see if they will come. Would they really bring more fans than SE LA, Nicholls or Central Ark?

AS our FCS game....... I have no problem with that - plus, Grambling brings more fans. nlu doesn't bring fans. In addition, nlu has an image problem in 1a and we help that image by playing them. Grambling is in a different division, so if nlu wants to drop to FCS, then we can play them a one and done at JAS.

I went to the ULM ESPN2 game last year (just to tailgate with friends). I don't know exact attendance numbers but it was much more than usual and even then they didnt seem excited as the chickens proceeded to almost lose to Ark State, playing a shoddy game.

The kicker missed a field goal from 12 yards, tipped the post; a fan had made a FG during the half-time competitions from 25.

I never hear ANY rivalry or smack talk in from Monroe. It's just a given that we are better. We stand to gain NOTHING from playing them 1-1. Even a UL-Monroe single visit to the Joe is a game we could play against a much more high-profile opponent.
