If you mean this trend of outing sexual predators, I seem to remember this current (and somewhat successful) phase started in Hollywood and TV and then as #metoo started to become an empowering movement it has spread. As far as Roy Moore specifically goes, his “problems” with his past began when WaPo started covering his campaign, got boots on the ground, and started to get tips about Moore’s dirty history. His accusers were not originally looking to make this a story (Alabama is not so progressive, you know), but when WaPo found them, that is when the story really broke. Apparently Moore’s seediness was one of the worst kept secrets in town.

At least Trump’s bad behavior doesn’t seem to involve children, though his bad behavior backstage at beauty pageants, the number of alleged sexual assaults over time, and his own caught-on-mic statements regarding his own history of assaulting women is certainly much worse than what has currently been alleged regarding Franken. Trump is a special breed of person that never owns up to his mistakes. Unfortunately, his base eats up his unaccountable antics.

Well, Access Hollywood only dug up the tape from their archives after Trump denied the claims of over 20 Apprentice employees that his behavior towards women was lewd and inappropriate.

This type of dogged reporting only seems to take place when a repub is involved. I have no doubt that Trump's antics are rather overbearing when he is put in these types of situations. He is a very rich and powerful man, and nothing said surprises me at all.

Now we see much of the media trying to minimize the Franken incidents, saying he was just a comedian or that he apologized or some stupid crap like that. Or that he is just so "pro" women's rights he should be given a pass. I remember women doing the same thing when Billy was president, as he and his wife set out to destroy any woman that would dare speak against him and threaten the millions of dollars that would eventually flow into the foundation.

Now I see that Conyers has also been fingered as a scumbag. I guess that is somehow not as bad as well and I will anticipate the stories that minimize his actions. Tribalism at it's worst.

I bet 90% of these swamp rats have a closet full of this stuff. Remember the house banking scandal? These are people that think they are better than their constituents and that the rules that apply to you don't apply to them.

Trump is very useful in this regard. When they threw the Russia collusion thing on him, you found out there was a lot of verified collusion going on - and thus far it has not been attributed to him. Now they threw the sexual harassment stuff out there and come to find out the ones making the most comments about it were just as guilty themselves. We know this because Trump fights back, where all of the other repubs just took it and apologized. Trump may not be perfect, but he is exposing the cockroaches.

And remember, Trump did not support Moore in the primary and has not supported him in the general.

Trump could bring this to an end with Moore if he really wanted to. But Conway spilled the beans - the Trump admin knows they need the vote. And while Trump is comfortable attacking Franken, he won’t say a thing about Moore. Why? Well, I would vote for Moore over the dem because I would not want to give the disgusting pig Schumer any hope of leading the senate. I don't live in Alabama, but that is what I would do. I can hardly bear that camera whore already.

Now, once elected if the repubs want to kick him out and let the gov of Alabama choose someone in the interim, that's OK too.

Aren't there more allegations against Franken? Once is an incident, twice is a pattern. One thing I don't hear is repubs attacking the women in Alabama. That kind of slime is reserved for dems.
