Tech vs TAMU in Shreveport this fall

I'm pumped about this game, I'm skipping a bachelor party just so I can attend this. Can't wait to start 1-0 against the SEC

I'm sorry - putting a game like this in S'port does what for us ? It's very obvious they do not want us there, from the last outing our fans were treated. The casual fan really could care less. I want the gate and the parking and the concessions to be in our hands in Ruston. Just look at a what Ruston and Tech are getting from Bossier and Shreveport...The high school State wrestling and the Girls State basketball tournament i do believe, because of blunders made by the sports "guru's' in that area. What can S'port do better than we can do in Ruston? NADA !

If the game has to be played there - they (S'port) have to have some incentives for us to play there...so what could they offer ????

This is BS - take away a sure win in front of your home crowd and trade it for a Thursday night game in Shreveport? Why??? Money and to say we played an SEC team? We are already playing ACC and B1G teams, we could have run the table and prove ourselves against 2 AQ teams. We did not need this!!!

I will still go to this game (although I'll have to take 2 days off work) and buy season tickets but will not increase the $ I give to Tech as planned, not even a cent more. Renau is already getting paid by whoring the team, 3 times this year.

What happened to no more than 1 money game a year? what happened to Q4E? I'm pissed off, we were building momentum and we go back to our classic shannanigans.

Man I;m having a hard time with this. Lamar, TAM are equal. A win is a win doesn't matter who it is against. For once I would like to start 2-0, 3-0. All the excitement will be gone after the first weekend if we lose. 2-4 start now a possibility. I want the details so I can see the good that comes from this, hopefully there is some good in the form of $$$ or home and homes in other sports.

Something more than a Tweet

I'm trying to make myself get excited about this game but it's just not doing it for me. We're past the days of being excited about playing someone like a&m even locally. I think if this game were 2 or 3 games into the season or in Ruston I would have an easier time getting excited about it. We haven't started well under Dykes yet and Shreveport has proven to be a bust. I'll be there but this one they are going to have to show me something to change my mind.

They are opening a Johnny's pizza in Covington!!!!!!!! My wife saw the sign the other day when we were coming home from Lowes. I almost had a wreck turning around to see it with my own eyes.

One opened this week in Addison. Wife and I went there opening night. Loved me some sweep the kitchen. Nothing but Louisiana folks in the restaurant that night.

Im trying to wrap my mind around people being more excited about playing Lamar than Texas AM unless you have fully convinced yourself that we were going 12-0 and going to the BCS. AS much as I hate and i mean hate going to shreveport I would rather drive 1 hour and half to that game than 30 mins to see us play Lamar.

I think 90% of Tech fans would agree if the last Shreveport experience had not been so bad. BVDV and Co. need to sell their fans that they will make the gameday experience enjoyable. You can bet the A&M folks are already planning and making reservations. Wonder if Tech has considered blocking off any rooms like A&M has already done.

While there are a number of people unhappy about playing a&m instead of lamar, a majority of the people (myself included), are upset that it is taking place in Shreveport instead of Ruston. But to throw a point out there for those that are upset about the opponent, SD had stated that he didn't want the schedule to change and then DR went ahead and changed it anyways...
