But he wasn't born in the United States.

It's fun to watch 'em squirm now that Cruz is gaining ground. They keep saying, "take a look at Rubio!"

Cruz is my #2 choice. He's a conservative, but until Trump came along, Cruz wasn't making any waves against the establishment any more than any of the rest of the chicken shit Republicans.

BS! You just weren't paying attention. Boehner and McConnell HAAAATE Cruz. They hated Cruz when Trump was still running with Bill and Hillary.

Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
Trump isn't a conservative. Trump doesn't understand the socially conservative wing of the party nor the evangelicals he'll need to win (they flat out won't vote for him).
The really interesting thing to watch has been how Rubio and Cruz have tried to court evangelicals. Cruz is the only actual evangelical in the race (save Huckabee and Santorum...are they still in the race?), but Rubio has gathered guys around him that are very influential in young evangelical circles (guys like Wayne Grudem). It's all being driven by Eric Teestel who runs in that world. The National Review seems to think that Evangelicals are monolithic. They're wrong. Cruz has dominated the Falwell evangelicals, but Rubio is courting a different set. It'll be really interesting to see how it plays out.
If Rubio and Cruz were smart, they'd both unload on Trump. Team up and fight it out after Trump is out. I guess they're worried that, with the money he has, he'll never have to quit until the convention.

I know of one person who considers himself an "evangelical" who won't be voting for him.

Even within the SBC, the leadership of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Center has shifted. I could have seen Land backing Trump (if reluctantly), but Moore has been very clear about his opinion of him.
Here are some interviews on candidate's faith:

The evangelicals I know will vote for Trump , and of course Cruz, against a Hillary or Col. Sanders. Evangelicals have witnessed the total disaster they helped cause by not voting for the Mormon Romney.

You may be right about them voting in the general election, but even there, I think you would see very low evangelical turn out.

I'd probably write in Don Knotts or someone.

Look up the word "karma" in the dictionary. Next to it you will see a picture of Cruze. :D
