Hebert might be a tad bit taller. But, like Taylor, good things usually happen when you throw the ball in his direction.

Grubbs looked really really good, like he had been there before even though it was his first collegiate game.

UTEP hangs on to beat Abilene Christian 17-13.

Anthony threw 3 TD passes and no interceptions tonight. Allen threw 1 TD pass and had 1 INT.
We called a better game with Anthony in. He should be the guy. No rep splitting unless we’re up big.

Tyler Grubbs was a 3 Star recruit. I think we will be seeing big things out of him. I think he has skills and the desire to leave it all out on the field. I was very impressed.

Hell of a game! Future looks bright with these freshman and sophomores coming up! Next man up mentality this year!!
Re: 9/19 Tech @ USM (6:30 PM) - Game
I don't know how many of the guys playing had, and recovered from, COVID. From what I understand, it can put a whooping on you. Some of them may still be getting over the effects of it. But, I'm going to enjoy the win and hope things go well the rest of the season. Texas Tech won a squeaker over Houston Baptist 35 to 33 so the next game might be tougher than it seems like it should be.
Re: 9/19 Tech @ USM (6:30 PM) - Game
USM should of kicked the extra point than going for two.
Re: 9/19 Tech @ USM (6:30 PM) - Game
Teddy was not clear on the pregame program - and I think there was a ton of confusion - at one point someone said 30 players did not travel including 6 starters - then someone said 36 players did not travel and 9 were starters.
There was a tweet that 10 of our defensive starters had never started a college football game.
The entire linebacking group that had playing experience was back in Ruston.

Pete Thamel tweeted that we had only 6 starters available for this game tonight

Wow.
I did not listen to the post game show. If that is true, wow....pretty impressive and great to hear.

Dumb call to take the snap with 4 defenders on 3 blockers. Those numbers mean kick the point.
