If it was more than a talking point it wouldn't.

I guess you’d have to specify, but your characterization of it seems to fit the partisan divide he’s addressing, but I won’t assume until you point it out.

You can take anything in his erasing lines paragraph and use that as your example.

Impeachment doesn't mean they can do whatever they want.
I didn’t say they had absolute power over the Executive, except for when it comes to impeachment (and other express powers of the legislative branch). The executive has no power in this arena.

Thanks. I’ll check it out.

I read some more of his articles. He comes from a really strange perspective to me to call himself a conservative. Similar to this article, I think his ideas of other conservatives come from a very misguided place. Also he's very wrong about Marvel vs DC.

That’s a very creative skirting of the issue. In layman’s terms, the constitution doesn't give Congress the ability to do whatever it wants to achieve impeachment. It just says that the element of impeachment resides in the House. Unless you are all for loose interpretation of the constitution so you can twist it however you want.

Several points now that I think you are willing that the Executive has no power in this arena:
1) Impeachment wasn’t a concept invented by the Framers. They borrowed it from English law. Impeachment traditionally includes investigatory powers and charging powers.
2) There is also the “necessary and proper” clause that gives Congress the express power to write all laws that are necessary and proper to carry out their exclusive powers. They have done so for impeachment and they have subpoena powers.
3) The Framers had a lot to say about impeachment during the Constitutional convention. If you read what they said about it then you will see that all the Republican talking points are actually bullshit. These legislators are just counting on you to believe them because of tribal loyalty.
4) impeachment for obstruction of Congress is the correct step for Congress to take otherwise they lose this power that was given to them.
5) the court is not the be all end all solution to disputes between the other two branches. Consider this: what happens if the Supreme Court were to say Trump had to comply with the subpoenas and he still refuses? In this case, Congress didn’t enforce its own power and Trump didn’t respect the SC’s power. In other words, Congress has declared themselves impotent and the SC can’t really restore their power because Trump still won’t necessarily recognize their power either.
A person that behaves the way Trump does is not good for our Republic.

Trump is da man! :D
Yo, Nancy, send your weak-azz, DOA, articles of impeachment to the Senate!! LOL at the Dems!
Re: Why no Trump impeachment thread on Paw-Litics???
Well, this will cost them a bunch of subscribers, but it is very interesting that they are doing it anyway.

Alan Dershowitz, a Clinton supporter disagrees with you. Roflmao at your last comment. You’re either dumb as a rock or a hypocrite of epic proportions.

Dershowitz is an outlier and seems to spend too much of his time catering to the alternate reality presented on FoxNews.
He has always been a self promoter, representing OJ, Claus von Bulow, Epstein and others of questionable moral turpitude.
He also loves being on TV. He is still a bit of a civil libertarian, but lately he seems more concerned with saying controversial things to maintain his air time on TV.
So, we don’t really take him seriously anymore. Sorry, if that bursts your bubble, but it is true.

That’s okay, I’ll take his expertise on Constitutional law over yours.

But the facts in this instance are unambiguous: The president of the United States attempted to use his political power to coerce a foreign leader to harass and discredit one of the president’s political opponents. That is not only a violation of the Constitution; more importantly, it is profoundly immoral.
The reason many are not shocked about this is that this president has dumbed down the idea of morality in his administration. He has hired and fired a number of people who are now convicted criminals. He himself has admitted to immoral actions in business and his relationship with women, about which he remains proud. His Twitter feed alone—with its habitual string of mischaracterizations, lies, and slanders—is a near perfect example of a human being who is morally lost and confused.
It boggles my mind how people have gotten so lost.

Will you if he ever starts saying Trump should be impeached? I somehow doubt it.
