Like Obama/Biden did to Trump?

Yep...you thought the GOP was dead. Just give it a few years and you’ll see what dead looks like.Quote:

I actually think this could be great for America, but only if the left split a couple of ways too. Otherwise you'd split too many votes and just hand everything to the Democrats as they exist.
But 2-3 rightish parties (Trumpests, Libertarians, whatever's left of the current Republicans) and 2-3 leftish parties (Green party? Status quo Dems? Actual socialists?) having to form coalitions to govern? Ranked voting? Heck yeah.
If you could break the two party system you'd probably even get the occasional actual outsider elected somewhere. Or could vote in good conscience for an upright person rather than just against the other team's policies.
If AOC or Bernie would promise to split off too I'd take this in a heartbeat.
Interesting article with some salient points. But, this writer just boiled it down to what some of us already knew: it is Trump's personality "flaws" vs. his actual accomplishments.
Absent the economic collapse wrought by the China virus, and all the arbitrary and mostly stupid local/state regulations, Trump's economy was booming. And given a second term and the same trend line of economic growth, Trump was on schedule to record the 3rd best economy for a two-term POTUS in US history. And, close enough to #1 Clinton and #2 Reagan, to truly say, "great job Mr. President." Trump also made some inroads that both Clinton and Reagan missed, namely tremendous improvements for women and minorities who actually reaped the benefits of a booming economy like never before. YES!!! to present a fair analysis, Trump also was guilty of growing the national debt. That is something both Clinton and Reagan managed to avoid, at a catastrophic level.
In terms of the US's place in the world, Trump positioned us back in the catbird seat. He stepped on a lot of toes...that needed STOMPING on! and got the attention of both our allies and especially our enemies. There were NO NEW WARS started under Trump! He closed out ISIS and put China on its heels serving notice the Chicoms would not have their way in the world.
One of his premier accomplishments was denying Krooked Killary the WH! Something none of those lame regular GOP candidates had a prayer of doing. You know the type: the POS spineless John McCain, Mitt Romney types, and oh! good ole Jeb Bush who was knocked out of the race early. Rubio and Cruz were (are) "okay" but they would have been seen as just two more GOPers and not energized the populace to rise up and stop Krooked Killary the way Trump was able to. The world will forever be grateful Mizz Klinton was kept out!!!
History will be kind to Trump because truth finds its way into the light. And, it will be even more stark once Harris-Biden eff up everything really soon.
As for the GOP, well, they are in a dogfight in Georgia and if the lousy, can't-organize-a-barbeque, old school GOP can't beat those two commie bastards the Dems have put up...even given shenanigans in the voting...then shame on them and it's on them. Trump is gone...as far as the GOP is concerned. This is their battle.
They're pretty underwhelming candidates on their own. Kind of Trump sycophants, which would be a knock from me, but will help with others (they're both betting on this obviously).
I'd probably blame the Kracken more than Trump himself for all the "don't vote unless they cancel the presidential vote" trash. He's been slightly better on that message (more of a "you can't trust the election process but vote anyway" vibe). And of course he's motivating for turnout on the other side.
But I think him losing ought to help Republicans win. Americans tend to try to counter the executive in Congress. So maybe he deserves some credit if one or both win (you know, for losing).
