Re: 11/17: @ Southern Miss
What makes this worse is The University of Desiard St at Monroe even beat Southern Miss on 9/8.

Re: 11/17: @ Southern Miss
The better coach won the game & it had nothing to do with scheme
4th & 1 ball on 50 - USM coach goes for keeping drive alive that produces game winning TD. 3rd & 5 -USM coach could run it to run clock & punt WHICH IS WHAT SKIP WOULD DO - but he throws the ball - moving the chains & leaving Skio with no more time to piss away.
The coach that played to win won. The coach that played not to lose lost.
We will NEVER win any
“ championship “ with Skip as HC
He will never play to win when the game is close. So we always lose the close ones. GLORY DAYS enjoy them fellas
Re: 11/17: @ Southern Miss
21-20
Now that I think about it, this result is as predictable as the sun rising in the east. Of course it had to be a 1 pt game, of course we had to miss a chippy FG in the 4th qtr, of course we had more yards, but still managed to blow it. Of course it was Holtz's play-calling...can you even call it play-calling?
I don't think it ultimately would have mattered, but on that ridiculous call against Ferguson, as I saw him chasing the QB toward the sideline I was screaming at my TV....don't touch him! Don't touch him! Bam...of course, so predictable.

Guice needs to take care of both of them tonight.

Apparently the rules don't allow a tackle. You can't initiate a tackle and sling the carrier OOB, hence the BS call against Ferguson when we had a shot to get the ball back. In that situation, an official should NEVER decide the possible outcome of a game. NEVER on a judgement call. He could have and should have left the flag in his pocket.

Thanks for letting me know that. Where do you think we'll end up? I think we'll be in NOLA against a sunbelt team for sure, but who knows? If the game is in NOLA, I'll be able to walk outside my front door and ride the street car to the game. It would also be fun to share the quarter with fellow Tech alums. Anyways, that's just "bright-side thinking" for what has been a very disappointing season.

Jmar played well enough to win
His HC lost this game
Re: 11/17: @ Southern Miss
We never had a chance with Holtz as head coach

The call against Ferguson was not ridiculous. Otherwise, yup.
Re: 11/17: @ Southern Miss
So pissed...good riddence Holtz
Re: 11/17: @ Southern Miss
Skip on the radio with the same tired BS... Proud of how we competed, some frustrating things happened, need to figure out a way to put our guys in a position to win, blah, blah, blah.
In listening to Nitz, it sounds like even he's lost interest.
