Covid - 19

Brothers are both well on the mend from Covid. Youngest brother ran 5-6 miles a day with Covid. Other brother had a headache and congestion for 3 days. No one else in their household showing symptoms, without distancing. Hope they all stay well. Not arguing that this can be severe for some, but it’s strange that such a deadly virus would be nearly non impactful when positive in so many people. This virus doesn’t seem to affect people more or less depending on level of health. It’s just a crap shoot as to how it affects each person.

So it’s kinda like what we used to call life? You never know the outcome and there is no guarantee of tomorrow. It’s always been that way. What has changed? Why do people believe a government or political belief can fix it?

That’s how we live. No certainty except where we are going when we leave earth. We take proven vaccines which totally prevent the disease they intend to prevent. Several in my family have taken the experimental drug and won’t be taking another. Be responsible, live without fear, and thrive.

The point is that it is a completely unnecessary risk for you to take personally NOT to get the vaccine. With the vaccine and therapeutics (Pfizer/Merk pills) now available, I agree that you can go out and live your life relatively carefree. This is largely now a pandemic of the unvaxxed.

You forgot the therapeutics which have been available and proven to work that don’t make pharma any serious money.

Eagle2180 is correct. Remember, I'm the guy that personally knows 2 very healthy people who almost died just from taking the Pfizer shot (well documented here). I also know 2 more who actually DID die from the shots, but they both had pre-existing health issues.

Speaking strictly for myself, I live my life very freely. I'm in Florida now. I'll be in Nashville this weekend. I'll be back in Dallas next week. I fly and travel all the time. I run a business that causes me to shake hands and visit with people face to face all the time, including LA Tech's leadership. In fact, I never even think about it unless I'm boarding a plane (which requires wearing the stupid mask) or talking to someone on this board. Earlier this month --in the story I recited in an earlier post-- I went to the Texas High School football playoffs and sat right in the middle of all those "vaxxed up" people, many who ended up getting COVID AGAIN! For the record, I'm the only guy at the table of 4 that DID NOT get COVID. I'm not saying that I'm impervious to getting COVID, but if I do, I plan to take my Ivermectin, and get thru it. In the meantime, I believe people like you --the vaxxed up-- are truly having your immune systems compromised (and possibly much worse) with every shot you take. Having said that, I wish you nothing but good health ahead. But remember, we humans have an immune system, and it works well for the healthy if given the chance.

I joked with you guys last summer that you "pro-vaxxers" were signing up for a lifetime of shots and vaccinations --kinda like my Dogs getting their annual shots from their veterinarian. LOL! Not surprisingly, we now read that the original shots effectiveness only lasted 5-6 months in total. Since very few Americans have taken a 2nd round of shots since the originals (more than 6 months old), the government is now asking you to line up for booster shots because most of you are apparently as unvaxxed as I am.

In a story I've already told here --but is very pertinent to your post--....I'll never forget when one of my best friends from Shreveport got a prescription for Hydroxy Chlorquine from a local doctor. He called me while still standing in line at his local Pharmacy and said, "Hey, now I know why the government doesn't want us to have access to Hydroxy Chloroquine; it's too cheap!! It only cost me $4.00 to buy it. LOL!"

After being in very close contact with my brother for extended periods in which he was supposed to be the most contagious, I took Ivermectin as a preventative and didn’t get sick. Now, I’m not saying it was the sole prohibitory factor, but it certainly won’t hurt me. It cost $6 before the severe price hikes. Wonder why the price jumped?

FOX did a great piece on the lefty media's love affair with the China virus and all the pain it's reaped. The way the piece was edited, showing CNN et al talkin' heads dating back to early 2020, mixed in with recent lamentations over the CDC reducing the quarantine to 5 days and the realization that it has NEVER been about the science...priceless.

In the bigger picture, it is truly sad how stupid and anti-American (i.e. anti-freedom) the lefty lamestream media is. I know we are probably past the days of having a true non-biased press again, but I can dream. The world would be so much better, and very quickly, if all the major media outlets got real and just reported the truth and real news. That would mean the Democrap Party would be forced to move back toward the center or cease to exist. The GOP would also move closer to the center, and it would be okay for some of both to be slightly left or right of the center as long as most of it was smack in the middle.

I remember the CBS affiliate in New Orleans having an editorial segment. Their news' director, Phil Johnson, I think was his name, would often close the program with a commentary. My Dad, who was right of Rush Limbaugh, would go ballistic sometimes disagreeing with Johnson's opinion on some issue. But, Johnson did NOT try to pass off his opinions as fact or as news. The "news" and "political leanings" were kept separated.

And, since I mentioned him, Rush did the same thing. His detractors never listened to his shows, or at least not enough to know he did separate the facts (news) from his right-leaning point of view. For instance, Rush would cite some study...and I'll make up something just to illustrate the point...and then offer his opinion why that was happening. Rush would quote from a news service or an article and he ALWAYS told you where this was coming from...

Rush would say:

A recent study conducted at the University of Virginia, and cited in the Washington Post, and I am holding a copy of the article in my formerly nicotine-stained fingers, states that violent crime has increased in Detroit, Chicago, and Newark by 35% the past decade...well, that's because those cities are run by Democrats. Etc...

Point is, Rush never tried to pass off his opinions as facts. He cited his sources, usually gave the date of the source, presented the facts and ONLY THEN put his spin on it. You can certainly disagree with his spin, and you might even question the facts presented, but then your beef would not be with Rush but rather with UVA (in this example). If you think that 35% increase is bogus then you should contact UVA and press your disagreement with them...not Rush. Guess that's why millions and millions of Americans trusted Rush while CNN et al ratings tanked. BTW, I did not always agree with Rush's spin on some issues. I even hollered at the radio once when he offered an opinion on something I disagreed with. Full disclosure...that was not very often.

Okay, all of this to say, tis a shame none of us know the "real truth" on the China virus, its variants, its real death rate, and the status of the vaccines. How nice it would be to have a truly honest, accurate national media whose sole purpose was to keep Americans informed with the facts.

I was in close contact with lots of folks who ended up with COVID or had it while I was in contact with them (my wife, daughter, son in law, neighbors) and never got the virus. I have attended multiple "super spreader" events with no hint at a COVID infection. About half of my exposure was prior to getting a vaccine (J&J) last May, and half after getting it. Only one person I was in close contact with had real issues with the virus, and most were pretty much over it after about 5 days.

I agree with HogDawg. Constantly bombarding your immune system with these vaccines seems kind of reckless. If the vaccines were truly effective, you'd get good T cell immunity from getting one and wouldn't have to constantly be injected to keep antibody levels up.

If we had an administration that was competent and took this Omicron variant seriously, we wouldn't be in such a mess today. They saw it develop overseas and STILL did nothing to make sure tests were available or to protect US citizens from the virus getting here. Of course I don't believe that statement, but it was the mantra of the stupid and mindless here on this board during the previous administration that was "PRO-AMERICAN", so I figure they'd agree with such stupidity now that their demented idiot is occupying the office.

Exactly right. The data has been so manipulated to produce a political narrative that we may never understand any of what has happened.

The fact that they want to keep information related to the vaccines sealed for decades tells me the real data may not line up with that narrative.
