Battle of wits???? Well I'm smart enough not to do any more posts on BTE II !!!!! I'll post here and get the post count up for this thread!
Re: If you want a thread to die
Fun game, 70. I got 14 out of 20.
Not bad for a GenX, I hope.
Re: If you want a thread to die
That was a trip back. 17 out of 20. Lucky strike one was the only one that I didn't even have an educated guess on.
Re: If you want a thread to die
I knew 19 out of twenty and guessed the 20th correctly. I really didn't know the Lone Ranger one but I guessed the silver bullet since I knew that's what he used. Of course we also said LSMFT meant loose strap means floppy titty as a take off on the Lucky Strike commercial.
Now in Shreveport weekday TV came on at 3:00 pm and Howdy Doody was the second show. What was the first?
What was third?
First was Pinky Lee
Third was Al's Corral

Got them all except Freddie the freeloader, and the Shadow was a guess. Why can't I remember important stuff?

Freddy the freeloader! I had Gertrude & Heathcliff stuck in my brain for that one and couldn't get past it. I got the second part though.
Red Skelton's Pledge of Allegiance
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kN4t2AY05_E
Red Skelton's mobile home broke down in a small desert town next to the airbase I was stationed at many years ago. Word got around town who was there. Red entertained the whole town in that gas station for several hours while his motor home was being repaired. A true entertainer at heart. By the way, I believe that at the end of the day, he owed nothing for the repairs.
