LA Tech went from having one last chance to get the ball with about 3 min left to GAME OVER, with that single call.
It's hard to blame this on the defense when they only gave up 21 points the entire game. I don't know what people expect, but holding any FBS team to only 21 points should get you a win about 100% of the time.

The call was at worst borderline, and with the emphasis on player safety the trigger to throw the flag will be quick. IMO the personal foul call where the targeting part was rescinded was a far worse call than the one on Jaylon.

The official didn't decide the game. Ferguson did when he made a stupid move for no reason.

In listening to Nitz, it sounds like even he's lost interest.
Is Skip looking to leave us after this season? I'd be all for this if we didn't have such a terrible Athletic Director who would probably pick another famous coach's son. Does Ditka have a son? If so, we'll get him.

From the way Skip sounded, I think he knows he just went from a warm seat to a hot one.
Re: 11/17: @ Southern Miss
Im glad we are over the “get destroyed” phase, but can we get over the “choke the game” phase? Because the last two years should have been WINS.

This is what’s so frustrating. Holtz is the definition of mediocre. Great to lose to the QB we let leave our program because our commitment to our Rockstar.

Post of the year. Holtz plays scared and it permeates the play calling, coaching, and players' intensity.

We do seem to attract the Jayden's Smiths of the coaching world (talentless bottom feeders that parasitically ride their father's coattails).
Skip is the living embodiment of this analogy.

I'll bring the gas so he feel our pain.
Re: 11/17: @ Southern Miss
Why wouldnt ge go for it on 4th in their territory? He did earlier in the game at mid-field!
Re: 11/17: @ Southern Miss
Guys.....LA Tech needs a fresh start. I'm tired of this crap.
Since Holtz has proven for 4 consecutive years in a row that he just can't beat USM, I think its time for him and LA Tech to finally part ways. I don't want or need to hear about this being LA Tech's "golden years" with Skip, or any of that nonsense. Tech really needs new leadership in the football program. And trust me, with a new strong leader, LA Tech will continue winning, but do it without all these embarrassments. We'll be fine with someone new at the helm.

Yes it was. But given how hyper-sensitive everything's gotten, you simply cannot touch a player, especially near the sideline. If the ball carrier turns up the sideline and goes for a TD, oh well, as long as you didn't dare touch him.

Holtz ain't going anywhere. TMac isn't gonna fire him. Guice isn't either. Holtz has won 4 bowls in a row....haven't you heard?
Re: 11/17: @ Southern Miss
Skip said everyone “competed hard”.
