Just got to be sure to get their early, eat, then go tailgate.
I ate at the Dawg House two weeks ago. I've been to the Dawg House numerous times in the past, but this time my party had the worst service I've ever seen there. The food was still great, but the waiter was lousy. None of the drinks were refilled, the food came out about an hour after we entered the restuarant, and it took forever for the waiter to bring us our checks. I know the service at the Dawg House isn't always the best, but this last time was beyond ridiculous.

This has been my experience the last (and only) two times I've been there. I like to support local businesses, but they make it hard sometimes.

We had similar problems at Brunet's here in BR. It has since closed.

Five Guys in West Monroe opened today. It's smallllllll. Worth it though. For those who haven't eaten there, you can share a regular size order of fries with someone else EASILY.
I hear the Orange Leaf next door opens either tomorrow or Wednesday.

For burgers and fries? Pretty steep. I got the little bacon cheeseburger, regular fries, regular drink. Came out to just over $11. The more people you bring, the better the economies of scale look. 2 people can eat for under $20, and a family of 4 can get out of there for $30, if you all share the fries. And trust me, you get PLENTY. You get what you pay for though. Might be just me, but it's the best damn fast food hamburger I've ever eaten, and it's well worth it every now and then.

Yeh, it is a ton of fries and their burgers are of good size. If you get a double full size, it is a lot of meat. I usually get the single and the wife and I split fries. The cajun fries arent that great to me. Just French Fries with a ton of cajun seasoning on them. Overall, pretty good, though.

Anyone else notice the for sale sign on the 5 acre lot at corner of hwy 33 and the service road is no longer there? For as long as I can remember that land has been for sale but just heard it was too much...

Remember, first-timers at 5Guys, if you order "hamburger" or "cheeseburger" it'll have two patties of meat. Order the small if you want just a single patty.

You fail.

Anyone try Famous Ziggy's? They're on Cooktown where Subway used to be. I ate there today and had what I think is one of the better hamburgers in Ruston.

It's hard to beat a hamburger with sliced sausage on it.
