Also on this day the Brooklyn Bridge opened in 1883!
Nice, thanks.
Our birthday boy today should be on the "radar" of every MASH fan. He was in the MASH movie as well as the tv series. While he played an Iowa farm boy in MASH he's actually a Connecticut yankee. He was a drummer is a jazz band. On MASH he showed a fondness for the care of animals, which was actually inspired by Gary's true love for wildlife. He once worked for the Animal Rehabilitation Clinic in Southern California, where he nurtured and cared for many species of birds such as the brown pelican, and many other animals including opossums, gray squirrels, raccoons and abandoned creatures needing special attention and was licensed by the State of California to care for wounded animals. He holds several patents on fishing lures.
Happy 71st birthday to Gary Burghoff.
Other May 24 birthdays include former Saints Jim Mora (79), Priscilla Presley (69), and King George III.
