All the sudden, ivermectin shows back up on the NIH site as a viable treatment. $3/bottle could have treated the entire country. But this isn’t political or money driven at all.
I just went to their website and didn't see it.
I do know that someone I worked with was prescribed Ivermectin by their doctor when they got COVID, and they were over it in 3 days (this person is pushing 70). Their doctor is very anti vax, thinking they do more harm than good.
A fact check shows that ivermectin is approved in clinical studies for Covid treatment, but that is all. Apparently, social media blew up that it was an approved treatment. However, I agree. People I know who took it were well in 2-3 days.
I see Dumb and Dumber have been keeping this thread going while I have been away.
You are still getting snookered. Ivermectin has been approved for clinical trials - they have been doing that for over a year. They haven’t approved it as a treatment - that fact remains. By the way, the latest randomized control trial for ivermectin (posted in New England Journal of Medicine) showed the same thing as the others did - ivermectin is ineffective.
The folks that you know that took ivermectin were going to get better in a couple of days even without taking it. Now if they had a parasite, ivermectin may have helped with that.
Two points:
1) China Virus patients treated with ivermectin recovered quicker than the placebo test group in official and scientifically accepted studies. Yes, the difference was small, but FWIW...
2) If there is nothing to ivermectin in the treatment of the China Virus why is the NIH spending money/authorizing clinical studies on it re: virus treatment? They must have seen something in the data that indicates there may be something to it.
