You're absolutely right, there is no need to upset NATO. Or worry those members of the Quads that Trump built, like Japan, Australia, India, The Philippines...etc.

Trump should always check in with Graham and McConnell before he speaks on anything regarding negotiations
At least Graham and McConnell don’t say absolutely stupid things on foreign policy
The war you are passionate about (the one that Biden, the RINOs, and the rest of the swamp allowed and encouraged) is about to end thanks to Trump.
Putin will decide when this war will end, and that will be after he wins or is utterly defeated. Trump is not driving this bus…unless he tells Putin either end it or the US will get actively involved. And even then Trump will have to promise US economic aid to Russia.
Trump can end the US involvement and then Europe will really have to step up support or Putin will eventually get what he wants…
So, you have already decided that any resolution that does not include 100% of Zelinksy's demands will not be acceptable?
You okay with the billions we've sent being accounted for?
BTW, you have Trump and Biden confused. Putin knows he is playing checkers in a chess match.
I am saying both Ukraine and Putin will continue the war until it is decided militarily. If Trump pulls US support then Europe will have to decide what it wants to do. Putin will eventually win the war if Ukraine loses support.
Yeah tell me about missing funds. The US has no room to talk. DOGE em baby!
Europe needs to be the one to really stop this. It's hard to tell whether they really believe he will just stop after Ukraine, he won't but it's like some of them are in denial. Poland knows, and the Eastern Europeans know. At three years in it's time for everyone to step up or let Ukraine fall. Europe has been increasing monetary and material support but still haven't chipped in as much as we have, its getting closer.
They all looked at Nazi Germany and said its happening to them not us, its all good until they were all under Nazi control, minus the UK. It's really natural selection if they allow it again or expect us to stop it again. Russia is in the same place they have been throughout their military history- solid on manpower weak on equipment and technology, and Ukraine has turned into another Afghanistan for them. its bleeding that manpower and leaving them understaffed and under equipped if Europe doesn't want to or can't stop them, I guess we just deal with whoever is left after the dust settles.
Ukraine is depleting the Russian military, their military complex, and just as importantly forever damaging how the Russian people look at Putin and other "leaders" like him. I said "depleting" but really, Ukraine is systematically destroying the Russian military. I have posted before that Russia's military was ranked the 2nd strongest in the world before February, 2022. I had them 4th, also behind China and India. About 6 months ago a British military think tank had dropped Russia to 15th, based on their current capability. Point is in 3 years little ole Ukraine has greatly diminished Russia's military power...sans their nukes. But, even there we have seen recent events that cast some doubts on Russia's nuclear threat. Three times in a row a Russian test of a new ICBM rocket, designed to deliver nukes around the globe, couldn't make it out of the testing grounds. Two exploded on the pad, the third traveled one mile before crashing to the ground.
So, really, exactly how threatening is Russia today? What we do know, for sure, is Putin is raving lunatic, very dangerous to world peace.
I agree that Europe should be leading in the defense of Ukraine, as they should in any instance where the continent is threatened by an evil dictator. I also think the US should participate in some capacity in support of our allies. And right now, Ukraine has delivered blow after blow and with proper support, can finish Putin for good.
Laughing out loud reading this. Both sides must end it because their casualties are far more than have been reported; neither can afford the effect that a lack of young men will have on their economies or population replacement.
President Z has rejected Trump's revised proposal of a guaranteed $500 billion of Ukraine's resources to the US. I don't blame him. Trump's proposal was not reasonable. However, the deal is not dead. Negotiations are still on-going, with both sides saying they are optimistic a deal will be reached. Trump's proposal for the $500 billion did not include a guarantee the US would continue to support Ukraine militarily.
Z's current proposal is a mostly three-way deal between Ukraine, France, and the US, with some minor agreements which would allow other European nations, who have supported Ukraine, to buy Ukraine's minerals at reduced, below market, prices. Part of Z's deal includes a guaranteed $90 billion of Ukraine's resources going to the US, with more based on future support.
Some of you will get your panties in a wad over this. But before you do, consider this. We want Trump putting America First! Don't blame President Z for his putting Ukraine first. And, besides, I think Trump's proposal of the $500 billion was part of "The Art of the Deal" by Trump. He knew Z would never accept that, but it was just an opening offer designed to make some lesser amount seem like a win for Ukraine, when in fact, it is a win for America. A good deal will get done.
Most importantly, the US has to help Ukraine win this war and drive Putin and the Chicoms out of Ukraine, as they plan to steal Ukraine's resources starting soon.
I don't mind supporting Ukraine and agree Putin is evil, I just don't think we as a country should fund them at a rate any higher than Europe. It's a proportional response. Europe sees X threat with Y funding then I am good with Y funding as well. I think if Europe feels Putin should be stopped it should be EU/NATO troops first etc.
Saw a poll whereby 70% of Americans think the US should support Ukraine. I think most Americans also want Europe to step up and take the lead in this, and some NATO countries, especially Poland and France, and the Baltic States also want the war to be confined to Ukraine. Defeat Putin there, don't let the war spread across borders. President Macron, of France, has sent up trial balloons testing the waters for the level of support for more NATO involvement, and the silence on support has been deafening. The UK has offered some support for more NATO involvement. Germany did at first, then changed their minds.
Putin is reeling. His once "mighty" army has been shattered. Tomorrow, Feb 24th, marks the third anniversary of the evil invasion. Putin plans a PR stunt of declaring victory over NATO. No one will believe that BS, especially the Russian populace. They know better.
