Today is 'ONE HIT WONDER DAY." Remembering some mega-hits whose artists never had another one. Some on the list include:
- Los del Río — "Macarena" (1996)
- Soft Cell — "Tainted Love" (1982)
- Dexys Midnight Runners – "Come On Eileen" (1983)
- Right Said Fred — "I'm Too Sexy" (1992)
- Baha Men — "Who Let the Dogs Out?" (2000)
- Vanilla Ice — "Ice Ice Baby" (1990)
- "Kung Fu Fighting" — Carl Douglas
- "Sugar, Sugar" — The Archies
- "Spirit in the Sky" — Norman Greenbaum
- "Who Let the Dogs Out" — Baha Men
Also on some lists were "Don't Worry Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin, "Funkytown" by Lipps, Inc, "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor.
Re: If you want a thread to die
You listed BahaMen twice.
Re: If you want a thread to die
No matter what job I had in life, I would always be 100% loyal to Louisiana Tech, my University. I can't expect that anyone else would feel otherwise. It seems logical that there are certain jobs that any university would be better served with those jobs being held by alumni. I'm not sure which jobs, but certainly President in my mind, and probably VP of University Advancement, maybe several others. I feel that some jobs require a love for Louisiana Tech FIRST and no outsider could take care of the university in those capacities as well as an alumni.
