The 1st string defense only allowed one really terrible play in the wr pass and defending from your 1 is difficult for any team. The 2nd/3rd string defense didn't do so hot but that is why they are 2nd/3rd string.

Just for the record........I don't think I've ever seen an opponent's Wide Receiver as wide open as that Idaho receiver was last night. He was about 12-15 yards behind our secondary......and dropped the pass. But again, Idaho was such a poor team, they couldn't capitalize. Almost any other school would have burned us on that play and made us pay for that breakdown in coverage.

Dropped the pass? Thought we were talking about the "double pass" TD Idaho pulled off.
Just to add to the fire. Compare Idaho vs LSU and Idaho vs La Tech
Passing vs LSU 23/42 174 yards 4.8 avg 2 TD 4 int
Passing vs La Tech 21/36 257 yds 7.1 avg 2 TD 2 int
Passing w/o big play 20/35 199 yds 5.7 avg 1 TD 2 int
Rushing vs LSU 26 carries 39 yards 1.5 yds avg 0 TD
Russing vs La Tech 23 carries 47 yards 2.0 yds avg 1 TD
Actually, Tech's D vs Idaho compared fairly favorably with LSU's D vs Idaho. I guess that was the point.
