Re: Sugar Bowl: BAMA vs OU
Yep, the high-paced offense gasses your D, but it can put a hurting on the other team's D also. Bama's big ole boys got tired and worn down a little.
The Yeldon fumble really turned the game around, Bama about to go up by a TD and OU flipped the script (Yeldon has done this a few times in his career). Bama had trouble throwing when OU knew that had to throw (end of 1st and 2nd half). One thing OU proved to me....hey SEC teams, you know that OLB who has great athletic ability and speed but is kind of a dumbass so you cant put him at LB during a game? Maybe you can make him an edge rusher for passing only downs. Striker didnt need strength against the big LT, he just blew by him.
Re: Sugar Bowl: BAMA vs OU
I tend to think Bama is going to be ok. IMO they got a little overconfident late in this season and this will make them work harder.

And Saban quit running it. :rolleyes4:
Dead right on about the coaching and Bama running more. Huepel was one step ahead of Kirby Smart all night.

I guess the NFL is reinforcing that myth as well, that's why the SEC has more players drafted than any other conference year after year.

No other conference has as many teams, silly head.

Last year the SEC East alone, had more draft picks than any conference.

63 draft picks in 2013, next highest conference was ACC with 30. I think you're the silly one.

Like most Bama fans, she has no actual connection to the University of Alabama.

If the purpose of college football is to provide a farm system for the NFL, then bully for them.
But if the point of college football is to win games, you will find that the sec, taken as a whole, is only slightly better than some other conferences. And if you control for their ability to buy more home games, you might find they're about average.
In fact, the SECs record on the road against other conferences is pretty unimpressive. Sec superiority is based largely on homecookin.

Tell that to the Cotton Bowl. SEC has won what...the last 8 over the Big 12-2?
Re: Sugar Bowl: BAMA vs OU
Yeah, in the last 2 games---they won it with Big 12 players. (last night looked like a Big 12 interleague game)
Why couldn't one of the "real" SEC teams play in the Cotton Bowl, instead of A&M last year and Mizzou this year?
