Not overly impressed with gameday at Hattiesburg. What impressed you?

Yet, they do have a school of hospitality and hotel management. Plenty of bartenders in the area.

It was well put together. Felt a lot bigger than the school actually was. Part of that was how close the stadium was to campus.

Not saying we have to copy them exactly. I like Aillet where it is. But it was definitely a great atmosphere and a lot of fun to go.

I like where Aillet is too. That was my point. As Tech grows.....to 15,000 students and beyond, a lot of that growth will be west out Alabama Ave. Aillet/TAC are perfectly positioned where they are.

Excellent point.

And my main thing wasn't necessarily about the location of their stadium (although I think it helps). Perhaps familiarity breeds contempt.

I couldn't believe that when we spoke to Ronny Walker about this issue, he said nobody had ever (there's that word "ever" again) mentioned re-naming Alabama Ave to Terry Bradshaw Blvd.

Now they have. You and I made sure of that. ;)

It really makes you wonder if the leadership in Ruston is just clueless, or is it deliberate? This step is long overdue. We have one of the most beloved --and recognizable-- football names in American history sitting in our alumni base, and we're not taking care of HIM or the UNIVERSITY. Every piece of mail our recruits receive should show a return address of Terry Bradshaw Blvd.

Someone will probably "amend" such an act to W. Alabama and only if E. Alabama = Burt Jones:angry:

I like it as Alabama Ave. Put a building at address 2621 Alabama and at 2928 Alabama.....and/or put a couple little stars on the street sign.
