Just got home from the game. Always fun to steal a road win. They didn't draw any bigger of a crowd than we usually do, but it was very loud at times. The few Tech fans that were there did our best, though!

There was a group of SFA students close to the broadcast table, and they were loud and obnoxious. As a proud member of the infamous "Jenkins Harassment Squad" aka "The Ambassadors of Harassment"* I am not knocking them. Thought they were great....and glad the Dawgs sent them home mad.
* LSU's WBB coach Sue Gunter said on their post game radio show, referring to us, "if those guys were ambassadors for the USA we'd be at war with every country on Earth." The Tech Talk ran an article on us, after Gunter's comment.
When the Dawgs played South Alabama (Old Memorial Gym) they beat us on a buzzer beater 67-65, their guy who hit the winning shot, ran straight over to us, and high-fived us, saying, "you guys are great!" Had we won, he probably wouldn't have been so generous.
At a Techster game we made a Nebraska player cry, she got so upset she literally walked off the FT line to their bench and it took a lot of coercing by her coaches to get her to go back out there. The refs asked us to tone it down....we said, "Ah....no."
A player for UNO (MBB), a big 6'11" guy, Art Wearan, something like that, got so mad at us, that he charged toward us, his fists clinched like he wanted to fight us....he stopped and then just said something to the effect of, "you guys suck, all your stupid comments." He was pulled away by his teammates before it escalated.
We were brutal.
I'll take it. Historically that's a fairly tough place to play.
Our FT % surprised me - we had been shooting pretty decent as a team heading into last night
Any road win is a good win - wish some of our folksj on social media understood that
I appreciated the way our guys kept responding in pressure situations. Once we learn how to effectively finish off an opponent on the ropes, we could contend for the conference title.
The Dawgs left a lot of points on the floor, and not on the scoreboard. And Bogues and the other guy, Fitzgerald, or whoever it was, were ridiculous last night. If you had told before hand we would shoot 59% FTs and they had two guys going bonkers hitting 3s, I'd a say, we are gonna get killed!! But we found a way to win, at a very tough place to get a win. That, to me, is what is impressive about this "W."
I was surprised they didn’t try Pemberton defensively on Bogues, just to mix it up.
I hate to see him shoot from 3 because it is awful looking, but he even hit a couple from there last night. Still much prefer to see him slashing to the rim; he does that as good as anybody on the team not named Bracey.
