Nah, CUSA sucks. The records speak for themselves.

Not sure why you lumped USM in with Tech on this. USM had always been ahead of the curve on the conference situation until their most recent AD screw ups. Letting Bower go turned out to be a bad deal for them and added to the misery for a while, but at least former members of C-USA feared them. The same can't be said about us in any sport.

What is your dream set up for us after the next shake up?
How do you think the TV money for the P5s will change?
How do you think the TV money (streaming money if any) for the G5s will change?

You’re exactly right MD per your two answers to get in the AAC.
I would add another with more conference movement; say Memphis and Cincinnati or Houston being invited elsewhere as part of a bigger conference movement.
Just “never say never”.

The Thundering Turd...laid one. CUSA now 1-4 in bowls. Next!
Re: CUSA underdogs going into bowls
Of the games played for CUSA so far, I was confident that FAU was the only one with a shot.

Picking CUSA to tank in the bowls, yeah, went out on a limb there bud! :shocked2:
I thought FAU had a legit shot, but honestly, wasn't sure how Kiffin leaving was gonna affect them. Still, a whopping 1-4 with losses to the MAC and to the Belch (twice).
Re: CUSA underdogs going into bowls
I thought Marshall was the least likely to win theirs, followed by UAB. At least UAB and FIU were competitive. FAU surprised people. And Charlotte and Marshall got blown out.
One narrative I haven't heard is that it's entirely arguable CUSA's best team is Tech, obscured by the suspensions. Hopefully, our team will see beating Miami as a way to make up for blowing a shot at the title.

We'll never know, since our QB was selfish and our HC was too stupid to prep a backup.
Re: CUSA underdogs going into bowls
Conference USA’s bowl showing SUCKS! UAB was a huge embarrassment as the Western division champions. They weren’t even remotely competitive in the conference championship game or their bowl game. Thank you Holtz and JMar for handing them the spotlight so they could take a big dump on center stage. Tech losing to that trash can is an embarrassment we shouldn’t have to endure.
Re: CUSA underdogs going into bowls
Getting a win Thursday will be a nice bandage on all these wounds we are suffering.
Go Dawgs!

And with pretty good exposure. No one has had time to watch football this week, except NFL Monday Night. Other than that, people think of football Christmas Eve through New Years Day. Even though ours is a Friday game, most people will still be home or will be able to watch. In fact, most will be searching for a bowl game to watch at that time. Add that it is a P5 team and is Miami and we have the chance to really represent CUSA. We just need to bring it like we usually do in bowls!

I met a guy on Sunday who's been a huge Bama fan for decades. Without any knowledge of who my school is, or who we're playing in a bowl game, he said the one team he still hates the most till this day is Miami. He said they play dirty, their mean and he can't wait until Saban's Alabama plays Miami again. I swear this conversation went down just like THIS!
So, that's when I stepped up and told him who my school is and the fact that we play Miami in a Bowl game. I could tell he was a little shocked. First, he new all about LA Tech beating Bama 2 decades ago, and he said he was "very jealous" that we get to play Miami and Bama doesn't.
For the record, this guy had no idea what Miami's 2019 record was and didn't care. But he convinced me that there's a lot of Miami "haters" still out there, and they will be tuning in to watch this game. This conversation also confirmed my theory that LA Tech is MUCH better off playing a 6-6 Miami in the Indy Bowl vs playing a nationally ranked Appalachian State team. The Indy Bowl should get some very good TV ratings considering the opponent is Miami.
I'm convinced that LA Tech will be America's favorite team for about 3 hours Thursday afternoon. We just need to take advantage of it.

Remember that’s the same Marshall that we couldn’t come close to being competitive with...
And apparently UAB has taken over as our daddy...
