he can’t get the ball over the line 3 or 4 tips already
Re: Tech Big Underdogs in 1st Game
4 Tech guys had hands on No. 3, yet he scored. He deserved it.

Easy to see why he has five stars.

You may be right, and if you are, we will never win a conference title either.

Didn't realize the Tech defense was only going to play selected series the rest of the game.
Re: Tech Big Underdogs in 1st Game
So McNeil has to be QB1 now, right?
Re: Tech Big Underdogs in 1st Game
The problem is that, in theory, both QB’s could benefit from reps against a lesser opponent. That is is SFA is truly lesser and not equal.
Re: Tech Big Underdogs in 1st Game
Grades:
QB1 = C-
QB2 = B-
OL = C-
LB = C (Grubbs over-runs too many plays)
Def backs = C- (stupid penalties stand out. WTF was that guy thinking when he attacked the receiver AFTER the play?)
RB = D
WR/TE = solid B except for crucial drops.
PK = D
Special Teams = C (only because of Smoke's one punt return). Punter = F
Overall offense = D
Overall defense = D- (and that's being generous)
Coaching = D (gotta figure out the best players in each position.....definitely not there yet)

In essentially one (1) quarter of work, Tech QB2 Parker McNeil goes 7/11 for 142 yds, a 12.9 avg, with 2 TD's and 0 INT's, and you only give him a B- ? :rolleyes4:
BTW, you're wrong about the OL too. They protected our QB's last night better than they have in a long time. They only gave up 2 legit sacks all night long on 46 pass attempts.

A B- for QB2 is sufficient. The OL could not open up many holes for the run game.

That's because the "run game" play calls were God-awful.......most being behind the line of scrimmage. I didn't understand the run game "coaching" last night at all. THAT needed an "F".
