I don't think that it will really matter at WR. All of them will see the field and all of them will get some passes thrown to them. I sure hope that we find out of the QB's that do that whole look left, look right, look middle then throw kind of things that we see other guys doing. I don't understand why they do that, but it looks cool.
At RB, I think that Creer will get 50% of the carries with Fitte getting 30%, and Duplessis getting 20%. The other guys will get a carry here and there, but I wouldn't expect much else unless we have some injuries.
I'm worried about finding playing time for Solomon Randle. We have 2 ALL WAC MLB's. That's the first time that I've seen that said since I've been following TECH football. I hope that he doesn't get frustrated and look to transfer, because he's damn good. Will they put them both on the field some and have one of them play Sam?? Maybe so.
At Safety, we'll have Tank roaming everywhere, and then Bad Chad on the field the most. CJ Broades will sub with Tank and Crowe backing up Bad Chad. Don't be surprised to see them all on the field together when Tank plays up in the box or the Nickel.
I would LOVE to see Jellybean play often, but I think that Randle is still going to edge him out to start the year and about halfway through the season, he'll pick up more time and likely be the starter. I look for the same thing with IKE. Starting the season, he'll come in for some PT and most 3rd and long's with Lacy.
I'll believe all the new JUCO players are good and starter worthy when I see it. Almost everyone comes to the campus with some talent and promise. Some fizzle and fade, and some shine. If the new QB is better than what we have and he can spread the ball around, then I'd love to see if he's got what it takes to run the offense. Holley might take some of those 2nd and 3rd string carries, but to get a lot, I think he'll have to prove it once he's here; maybe some goal line carries.

We should run some 4-4, especially vs Navy. It works great for me on Xbox. :D Especially against the option or run-heavy teams.
And I agree completely about the Juco guys. We don't have the greatest luck with Jucos (though, most of the bad luck came from Mississippi). John White is probably the most recent letdown.

Wasn't Cole limited in spring? I know Randle got the reps and did well.
I am excited about our 2 fine MLB.
Randle had 30 tackles last season. Cole had exactly 30 his freshman season while backing up Brannon Jackson.
They were in the same recruiting class, both LB from the state of AL. Kudos to the coaching staff for these gems.
Randle also had a 4.0 GPA coming out of HS, I assume he's doing well in classes.
I think Cole has greater speed and does better in pass coverage (for a MLB), but Randle is a bit bigger.

Cole is listed at 5-11, 240, and Randle at 5-11, 235.

Do you think that Andre Taylor will be a factor at DE this year? He sure seems to have the athleticism and size to compete. I also wonder if Tilman will step up too.

Andre Taylor, big, athletic RS FR was indeed moved to DE this spring. He injured a hamstring right off the bat & did not get much work so we do not know much more about him except he has the body to play that position. Hopefully he will make a name for himself in August. Tilllman is a typical JUCO player who came to us with some talent but absolutely NO BASE. By that I mean that a high-end, fast-paced weight program was almost completely foreign to him & he was way behind in body strength. Hopefully ( that word again ), the summer program will allow him to catch up with his strength & conditioning because I think he is going to have to play DL for us as our numbers are short. As someone indicated, John White has left us. Please don't ask me why because I do not know. At the DE spot, I am putting my money on I.K. as he has everything it takes to be a very good player.

Ouch. We really couldn't afford that. Now Shack Lucas or Longino will have to step up and log some PT. Both guys are undersized. Lucas showed some pop at times this Spring, though. Longino may be topped out size-wise, so let's hope Shack puts on the 15-20 he needs over the Summer.

You are right---we are so THIN in the interior DL & must really hope the injury bug does not bite us there. We really NEED Mount Ellis to be in top shape & ready to play. Longino may be too small to hold up inside so Lucas becomes even more important. DL will be a HUGE TARGET for Sonny & his staff this recruiting year ( as it seems to be every year ) & the competition will be FURIOUS for the good ones.

Boise just bagged a good one (DT). With their high-powered offense, they never get enough credit for the physical defense that they play at every position (and is the secret ingrediant of their success).

heck, at this point, we just need some big bodies to take up space on the DL.

You are exactly right about their defense----very little recognition for such an outstanding defense. However, opposing coaches know as evidenced by the hiring of the young DC from Boise by DD at Tennessee at a cool $600K per.
