I guess it depends, in part, if you think we are safer in a multipolar world. If you are comfortable leaving a leadership vacuum and having less of a say in how international agreements are established and how international disputes are resolved. Also whether our security is better protected when more nations have defensive capabilities similar to ours. I am not sure. Post WWII US hegemony has made us fairly secure from attack on our homeland. It is kind of the great unknown as to what would emerge in its place and whether that is good for us.

Apart from that, Germany is second behind us in troops it provides to NATO. Of course, they are quite a bit smaller than us in population, but have a very similar per capita GDP.

And the point is that liberals/media are ready to pass judgment despite there being no evidence. They are pushing the agenda under the auspices of "we are just doing our job." Well, they only do their duty when it suites their interests. I'd have no problem with what they are doing to Trump if they also had done it to Hillary and Obama. They didn't, and neither are you.

Aren't you jumping the gun? Hillary was investigated and found guilty of negligence. Let the Special Counsel investigate the Trump campaign and see what he says. Are you afraid of what he might find?

As for Obama, what did he allegedly do that warranted an investigation?

Gross negligence that would have put others behind bars. The documents you sign when you get access to classified material say nothing about intent. Simple mishandling of highly classified documents like having them on an unauthorized server will get those not who don't get special favors time in federal prison. At the time the classified information was found, I believe that Hillary and her staff weren't even authorized access to the types of information that was on her server. Why haven't we seen investigations into Obama and his staff's alleged spying on US citizens. Rice's unmasking of the names of US citizens. That and Hillary's people mishandling (no intent needed) are the only sure crimes that we know in this investigation of Trump people and they are being ignored in favor of mere accusations. There is an imbalance in what is happening and hopefully everyday people will see.

So why is Russia and Putin our big enemy now? They weren't our enemy when then SOS Clinton negotiated a deal to sell them 20% of our uranium capacity. Russia wasn't our enemy when Obama 5 months ago green-lighted a deal for Russia to sell uranium to Iran.

If Russia was so evil, then why would we want to give them more uranium that they could make into nuclear weapons or sell to other nuclear aspiring countries?
