What a “light weight” defense of the dear leader!
Erickson wasn’t addressing Trump, but his sycophants. Trump has always been a rudderless grifter who’s only talent is making headlines. The fact that the party that used to champion their morality has so readily embraced him is what is being addressed.
The “everyone else does it” BS is about as valid now as it’s ever been. First, that’s not true (Hannity and Rush just say it is because Trump’s presidency is a betrayal of 75% of what those two have pitched for most of their careers). Second, it doesn’t matter.
The GOP sold its soul to “own the libs”. The end result? Big debt/deficits, less free trade, less registered Republicans. Congrats.

Turns out that you guys are drawn more to the liars and repulsed by the truth-tellers. Nice graphic in the link above.
What lies did Trump tell yesterday?
Robert Mann used Politifacts as his source. He could've just called Hillary Clinton and got her opinion.
Do you ever cite a legitimate source?
https://www.allsides.com/news-source/politifact
That doesn’t say it is illegitimate.
https://www.allsides.com/media-bias/media-bias-ratings
BTW, According to their ratings, nothing you guys post would ever be considered legitimate.
it's amazing the blinders people put on. that anyone could be so in love with either trump or schiff is just incomprehensible to me.
On F&F:
Regarding Comey: “He’s just a stupid guy. He’s dumb as a stick.” Obviously not true.
He said Wray was “appointed by Rod Rosenstein”, when he was actually appointed by Trump.
About the 14.7% unemployment, Trump said “those jobs will all be back, and they’ll be back very soon”. A shade of Obama’s “you can keep your health care insurance.”
But this is just in the 8am hour. I am not going to go through the rest of his day.
You are an azzhole...and that is the truth.
On the jobs thingy, eventually most of the jobs will be back. It will take time and the longer this virus hoax drags on the worst the economy will get, which is the plan of the anti-American forces out there. Once true Americans have had enough of this hoax, there will be a quick surge of employment and the unemployment numbers will drop rapidly. But some jobs have been lost. Restaurants have been particularly hard hit...first, it is a tough business even in the best of times, but thru this crap many have closed. Other retail businesses, who were living on the edge prior to the virus crap, have closed for good. One example was our local Sears store, a franchisee business. It was family owned and 4 of the 5 employees all were in the same family. Those 5 jobs are gone forever. So, no, 100% of the jobs that existed back in early January, 2020 won't be coming back. But, with Trump as president the economy will recover, and 2021 will be an awesome year for everyone! And in late 2020, once this hoax is ended, most, IDK, maybe 85% or more, of the jobs will be back. That's why the Dems are pushing for that stupid $2,000/month handout measure. They want folks to stay at home in hope of causing more small businesses to close for good.
As for Comey, well, he doesn't seem too smart to me. Of course, I can see why morons like, well...we all know who...think he's some kind of smart guy  but Comey is stupid enough to believe what his puppet masters told him. So in a bubble is he, and others, he actually believed CNN et al. Smart or not Comey committed treason and should face a firing squad, right along with a long list of others.
The three examples from the Fox and Friends are a good representative of the three lies he tells:
1. “Dumb as a stick.” The extreme exaggeration to the point that it cannot be possibly true.
2. “Appointed by Rod Rosenberg” (and the one you didn’t address). The bald face lie of fact.
3. “Those jobs will all be back...and soon”. The impossible promise.
He can’t help himself. He operates completely untethered to the truth. His world is not real.
Later in the day, Trump had a meeting with a bunch of Republicans (televised) and he said this:
“You look at what we’ve done with ventilators. We started, and we had no ventilators.”
That is also obviously not true. The world inside Trump’s brain...fantasy land.
Oh gee....:icon_roll:
obummer/Holder sold machineguns to Mexican drug cartels and lied in the cover-up. Clinton sold missile technology to the Chicoms and lied in the cover-up. Not to mention his perjury under oath on Miss Blue Dress...those are lies.
I mentioned before I have learned to understand Trumpese, the language of Trump. He tends to exaggerate which are not "lies." For instance when he says something like "this is the greatest economic recovery in one month...I don't know, maybe forever!" Only a true moron would take that literally. Just like we see people saying "Tom Brady is the greatest QB of all time!" Nah, it's just that he's had some accomplishments recently, and such proclamations lack a true analysis of comparing QBs over time, from different eras. Folks with IQs in triple digits understand the enthusiasm of those fans making such statements, don't take them seriously, and don't get their panties in a wad.
You have NEGATIVE credibility! Such a black hole of bullshit you suck credibility from others. You'd have to make a 1,000-fold improvement just to get to a ZERO credibility status.
BTW...in an earlier post you said "Rod Rosentein" now you post "Rod Rosenberg". LIAR! LIAR! LIAR! Can't be both! You obviously LIED in one of those posts, if not both! LIAR! LIAR! LIAR!
Your negative credibility just dropped some more!
Comey may be a lot of things you don’t like but “dumb” or “stupid” are not remotely accurate.
Your whataboutisms on Obama are irrelevant, and they pale in comparison to what Ronald Reagan did and lied about.
I see you still can’t acknowledge Trump’s bold face lie on a fact - the appointment of Wray. Not sure why I typed Rosenberg for Rosenstein (maybe an autocorrect or maybe I should have finished my coffee before posting this morning).
Here's another deliberate lie by you. No context whatsoever. Below are Trump's exact words in the interview on this exact subject:
Quote:
Trump in the interview made a point to argue that hiring Wray was not his call.
“He was appointed by [then-Deputy Attorney General] Rod Rosenstein and — a lot of things are coming out,” Trump said, before restating the same point. “He was recommended by Chris [Christie], but he was appointed by — he was really recommended by Rod Rosenstein.”
That bolded part is nothing more than a "first mis-speak", and then an immediate correction of himself in the same paragraph. It wasn't a deliberate attempt by Trump to mislead anyone, unlike all those Democrats (Schiff, Nadler, Blumenthal, Swalwell, Waters, Lieu, Perez, Wyden, Pelosi, Comey, Brennan, etc...) that we now have CONFIRMED purposely mislead Americans regarding the Russian Collusion investigation, by telling them they had "mountains of evidence", when we know the Intel records released this past week tell us they did not. Rather, those were outright blatant lies. If you call Trumps "mis-speak" with an immediate correction a lie, then you're just a liar yourself, pure and simple.
All Presidents depend on departmental leaders --like Rod Rosenstein in this case-- to make such inter departmental recommendations. There's absolutely nothing unusual about this.
Another great post HD!
I teased Goosey with his "mis-speak" or mistype about exchanging Rosenstein for Rosenberg. Of course I knew it was a typo but just wanted to throw some his own stupidity back at him. Had Trump mistakenly Tweeted Rosenberg when he meant Rosenstein OMG!!! Goosey, CNN et al would be in tizzy claiming all kinds of stupid stuff. It also shows how intellectually devoid they are and how desperate they are. They have nothing! So they have to hang on every word, every Tweet and pick it apart, and even then they have to lie by editing what Trump said or Tweeted.
Meanwhile we KNOW and always KNEW dating back to early 2017 the whole Russian collusion claim was a hoax. Just look back at the pages of posts on this forum. We...the good guys...were right, and the evil ones: Goosey and his goofy followers, were dead wrong. BTW, have you read the Mueller Report? Even Robert Mueller didn't read it because he already knew it was bullshit!
When you watch the video (13:30 into the interview) it did NOT come across as him correcting the issue of who appointed Wray, rather who recommended Wray. As if, he thought better of dragging Christie into this (when we know that Christie was in fact the advocate for Wray).
Fundamentally, the issue is that Trump doesn’t want to himself be held accountable for his actions (including his appointments that have failed), so he misspeaks (read: lies).
Even I have said Trump displays some personality "flaws" especially in his "Trumpese" language and his tendency to exaggerate things. I have gotten so used to it I hardly notice it, unless someone draws attention to something specific. Again using sports as an analogy, after a game an excited coach says, "That catch was the greatest in NFL history! What a catch! We won the game because of it!" Most sensible people would just chalk it up to the coach's excitement and then NOT dissect it by comparing it to other great catches in NFL history. But, Goosey et al would.
"Was that truly the greatest catch of all time!?" Well...back in 1967, a Packer WR dove seven feet..." blah, blah blah.
It is just Trump being Trump.
If Trump's language bothers you, you're going to have a hell of a time listening to your guy "Gropy" Joe Biden. LOL!

Speaking of a sorry piece of shit...(that would be obummer, Biden, Pelosi, et al)
that Judge Sullivan is playing politics with the life of an American hero, General Flynn. And this shows what is wrong with the judicial system, activist, politically-motivated judges. Judges can be impeached and this sorry ass needs to be.
In case you have missed it, this POS judge won't drop the charges against Flynn even though in the case of the US vs. Flynn, the US has said they were done, they won't be pursuing this case. This POS judge wants to give 3rd parties a chance to submit briefs against Flynn, when this same POS judge denied 24 third parties from doing the same in support of Flynn. This obummer appointee, a piece of shit like his boss, is obviously trying to protect his puppet master.
Impeach Judge Sullivan! Arrest obummer!
(Goosey, don't post a response. You have negative credibility and have nothing of true substance to add.)
Criminal referrals coming for Mueller and members of his evil team. There is no doubt obummer was in on it from the beginning, as was Krooked Killary, but every sensible person knew that all along. I think obummer, Killary, and of course the whole band of evil-doers, Comey, Brennan, etc...should all be charged and indicted. Of course I also think they should have a fair trial, convicted and then be sentenced to the fullest extent of the law. And if treason is part of it...they should face a firing squad, which should be nationally televised. I'd fix popcorn for that!
Biden was a party to it as well...but his defense today would be, "Was I present for the meetings? I don't recall that." Yes, Mr. Biden, we have the tapes...you were there. "Ah," Biden would say, "I was there physically but my mind was...elsewhere. I think. I can't remember..."
Nail the bastards and the ultimate bitch!
TV and print media hammered Reagan before, during, and after his terms. He was never given a break, but in his worst moments he was sharper than Biden
Biden did all that?
I can't read your first linked story in the Washington Post because it wants me to subscribe, and I'd rather drink gasoline.
The other 3 links you provided are all "Opinion" pieces, and NOT news stories, to glm47's point. Where are the NEWS stories about Gropey Joe's deteriorating dementia? Has Gropey Joe been officially diagnosed? How far along is he in his illness?
These are serious questions that need to be answered before anyone considers pulling a lever by Gropey Joe's name.
Of course Goosey fails to mention the two worst POTUS of all time: 1) obummer 2) Carter
Carter is a boob and had an atrocious tenure. obummer is a true anti-American piece of commie filth and is the absolute worst in history at abuse of power. Right up there with Lincoln. Grant is known for being a corrupt president, and he was, but not as bad as Lincoln and obummer, and few others.
W is just part of The Swamp. That's his biggest flaw, too much caring about DC and not enough of putting real Americans first. Certainly 1,000x better than obummer though.
IMO, there is a double standard when it comes to the Swamp. They protect their own.. For example: FBI Intelligence Supervisor, caught with child porn on his computer, he was fired, but DOJ decided not to prosecute. Anywhere else, you or I would have gone to jail. Flynn allegedly lies to FBI, they go after him. Comey, Brennan, Clapper, all have lied to Congress, yet nothing happens. Several former FBI and DOJ officials under Obama admin since this whole Russia thing started and Mueller's team have been fired, or demoted, no criminal prosecutions. My last hope is that Durham will being charges and people get perp walked, otherwise our country is truly lost.
Your facts are all wrong.
https://oig.justice.gov/reports/2020/f200414.pdf
The fact that Trump was not held to account for his unconstitutional abuses of power and obstruction, though, does prove we are lost.
Whoever wrote that should be fired:
(OIG) initiated this investigation upon the receipt of information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI) Inspection Division (INSD) alleging that a then FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst (SIA) had stated, during a routine FBI security inquiry, that the SIA had viewed and downloaded child pornography from the internet several years earlier. The SIA denied ever receiving or sending child pornography.
Translation:
They started an investigation because the FBI says the SIA admitted during a security inquiry that he had child porn. The SIA denied he had child porn.
None of the images were determined to be evidence of child pornography. No pornographic material, or evidence pertinent to the investigation, was identified on the SIA’s FBI-issued devices. Based on the SIA’s statements during the security interview, the OIG investigation concluded that the SIA had knowingly possessed child pornography, in violation of federal law and FBI policy.
Translation: We didn't find any child pornography, but determined he had child pornography.
Also I'm not entirely sure what facts you are saying he got wrong. It sounds like they chose to fire him but not prosecute him because they didn't have any actual evidence. I guess he didn't get caught with child porn so that is incorrect.
My read is that he said he had accessed it in the past in a an interview (perhaps to get some sort of classified information clearance). Based on that they investigated further and could not actually find evidence that he possessed it.
So the facts that were wrong were: “Supervisor got caught with child porn on his computer”. The report, however, literally says he didn’t.
Trump was right again.

Clinton's photo was taken at the Foundry United Methodist Church after a church service in July 2000 as he prepared to host Israel's Ehud Mubarak and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat at Camp David the following weekend.
Trump's photo was taken in front of St. John's Episcopal Church after he got his feelings hurt being called Bunker Baby and Bunker Bitch. There was no reason or justification for Trump (or Barr or Hicks or whoever ordered it) to forcibly clear protestors, remove the priest, and take a photo with a book he's never read.
Stephen King is right:
Side Note: Getty Images charges $175 for a small, $375 for a medium, and $499 for a large version of the Clinton image for standard editorial rights.Quote:
Dear fundamentalist Christian Trump supporters: If Obama had held the Bible backwards and upside down, you would immediately have called him the Antichrist.
“It’s A Bible.”
I loved the statement Trump was
making as was Barr.
And Trump only did it because Ivanka is the only one bright enough to know that he's in a very bad position for re-election and they misunderstand their evangelical base so badly that they think holding a Bible upside down in front of an Episcopal church will satiate them.
I don't care about the pandering...it would be nice if y'all recognized it for what it is, but that's neither here nor there. Had Obama dispersed a tea party rally with pepper balls and smoke bombs, you would be calling for his head.
I don't need that reason to call for obummer's head, he's done enough other bad stuff. But, it was obummer who ordered the IRS to go after conservative groups...but that's okay, right, johnny, since the end justifies the means when it favors communism.
Not surprisingly the economy is starting to bounce back. Over 2.5 million jobs were "created" in May, an all-time record in US history. Nice to say, but it is just folks returning to vacated jobs as businesses reopen. Unemployment rate is at 13.3%, but that beats the 20% the libs were rooting for. Make no mistake about it, the evil left is not finished yet. The murder hornets didn't work and this whole contrived George Floyd hysteria, with the destruction of small businesses, will have very little impact. Pelosi, Schumer, and all the scumbags they can muster are plotting their next move.
As I posted several months ago, the fundamentals of the economy was (is) sound and the unemployment issue was artificially created, separate from the true status of the economy. That's good since it will allow the economy to bounce back quicker. Now, there was real damage done. Unfortunately many small businesses could not survive the virus crisis hoax. BUT! the good news is the market abhors a vacuum so other businesses will sprout up or others expand to absorb that market share. It'll be a slow-go and there are more bumps in the road, but Americans (real Americans) are resilient. We'll be okay...
Now, if the unthinkable happens and Creepy Joe steals the election...well, he's too goofy to do that...if the election is stolen on his behalf, then all bets are off on the economy. Until November we should see a steady climb out of the doldrums.
The 2.5 million jobs added is good, and they are most likely PPP jobs - workers brought back from layoffs with their pay to be forgiven under the program. That is good and what it was designed for.
Yep! WTG Trump! Now make the rest of the blue states open please.
Unemployment Falls to 13.3% and Economy Adds 2.5 Million Jobs

And how about this news?
Hidden Figures: Black Employment Expanded in May
https://www.breitbart.com/economy/20...panded-in-may/
Black unemployment also expanded in May, but you didn’t mention that. Oops.
Quote:
The amount of jobless Americans in April ballooned to 14.7 percent before falling to 13.3 percent in May. That was in comparison to April’s 16.7 percent Black unemployment rate rising to 16.8 percent in May.
And the idiot reporter spoiled the press conference for the rest of her media comrades by complaining about the president celebrating that increase. Even as small as the increase was, it wasn't a decline. Proud that Trump walked away and left the media loons gasping for air when he wouldn't acknowledge their questions.
You’ll never see this in the main stream media The number of African Americans holding jobs expanded to 16,523,000 from 16,240,000 in May. That 283,000 rise was more than ten time the rise of the population, so it involves a real expansion of employment among African Americans.
Black unemployment increased in May from 16.7 to 16.8* percent while white unemployment decreased.
*The BLS reports from April and May actually underreport unemployment because they misclassified furloughed workers and didn’t include them in the standard unemployed list.

Poll: Black voter approval for Trump 41%
Result Friday after another week of racial turmoil
Published June 6, 2020 at 12:19pm
The conventional wisdom is that the racial turmoil of the past two weeks is damaging President Trump's support among blacks, but the latest Rasmussen poll of likely voters shows a remarkable 41% of blacks approve of his performance.
In the 2016 election, Trump won only 8% of the black vote, a typical figure for Republican candidates.
While some might view the survey by the "conservative" Rasmussen as an outlier, its finding in December of 34% approval among blacks was affirmed by an Emerson College poll that had it at 35%. And a Marist poll at the time found 33% of non-white voters in approval of the president.

"We have a Constitution. And we have to follow that Constitution. And the President has drifted away from it.”
-Colin Powell, joining many other former military leaders in criticism of Trump
It is a relief that our military leaders understand things that Trump doesn’t.
The best part is, this particular "Jobs Report" was expected to show 8 million more jobs LOST, but instead, showed 2.5 million jobs GAINED. That's why Wall Street skyrocketed on Friday.
So, just as I've been telling you, this thing is over. You just didn't know it, and you weren't accepting it.
But CONTEXT:
"The black unemployment rate did rise slightly in May, ticking up from 16.7 to 16.8. But that was because the reopening of the American economy drew more African Americans into the workforce, increasing it by 377,000 workers. That raised the workforce participation rate from 58.6 percent to 59.6 percent". --Quote from article
https://www.breitbart.com/economy/20...panded-in-may/
The jobs report did boost the market on Friday but the futures were already showing an open of over 300 in the Dow before the report was published.
The number was better than expected but not the 10 million delta you were projecting (though somebody may have projected that big of loss - that wasn’t anywhere close to the projection for the street).
But the number of jobs added is also misleading because of the BLS’s mis-classification of furloughed workers, which of counted correctly, would show an unemployment number of over 16 million than the 13 million reported. The same error was made in April, however, so it isn’t that informative on a relative basis.
I can't decide if you are genuinely WRONG this often, or if you are just another purposeful liar.
There's a 529 point difference between what the futures markets (you say) were saying before the Jobs Report was released on Friday, and how the market finished.
Below are two separate CNBC stories (the folks you called the Holy Grail of Finance just last week) written just prior to the market opening on Friday. Both articles state that expectations for the May Jobs Report release would show a loss of another 8.333 MILLION jobs. As we now know, the U.S. GAINED 2.5 million jobs instead. That's a 10.833 "delta", so you're wrong again. ;)
https://www.cnbc.com/2020/06/04/the-may-unemployment-rate-is-expected-to-be-near-20percent-as-millions-more-lost-jobs.html
https://www.cnbc.com/2020/06/05/5-things-to-know-before-the-stock-market-opens-june-5-2020.html
By the way, those "furloughed" workers that you say are misclassified (and I've read about that) don't have a paycheck coming in, and there's no guarantee that their job will still be there when this COVID thing is over. Furthermore, as "furloughed" workers, they are eligible for unemployment compensation, so it would be absurd to omit them from the statistics.
I agree they should be counted as unemployed. If you do that, unemployment goes over 16 million, and the delta is between 3-4 million relative to the 20 million expected for May.
I think you understand that many of these PPP jobs remain in a precarious situation because SOME of them would not be “employed” right now but for the fact that their pay is covered by the government for 10 weeks. If business doesn’t resume to the level needed to support their full employment, then those folks could be laid off again in the near future. We also know that their will be many airline furloughs to hit in October, so there remains headwinds to the recovery of unemployment through Q2 and Q3.
Meanwhile we are seeing coronavirus cases build in places like Texas. I don’t think Abbott will allow another lockdown, but it won’t matter if significant numbers of would-be consumers bunker in because of the risk of getting and transmitting the disease. Which is why we all need to be wearing masks and practicing social distancing...
