I also wear a mask most of the time out in public, of course at those places where they require it for sure. I have seen folks angrily take one, put it on until they were in the aisles and then take it off. They will then put it back on when they check out. Walmart, along with others, have very good security cameras and I assure you, as someone who has been in their security booth, someone is watching all the time and know when you remove your mask. Thus far I have heard of no incidents where a security person has confronted the non-maskers walking the aisles. Probably a sensible course of action. No sense inflaming the situation.
Now, that said...do I know, or even think masks especially and even the vaccines work? No, I don't KNOW, and am on the fence on the whole matter, as I see/read pros and cons. But in all matters in life I choose my battles. Especially on masks, I ask myself, is it really that big of a deal, is it such an inconvenience to warrant making it into an issue? Is it worth arguing with the older lady greeter at Walmart who is just doing her job? Ah...no it isn't. That's a personal choice I make for myself.
