Yep, glad we are not playing any more teams from the SEC, BIG XII and the Southland Conferences, those guys are good and spend a lot more money on their athletic programs and facilities then we are able, heck our band can't even hold those guys trombones, now to focus on C-USA!

Hope not and I don't think the chiggers will blast any top tier SEC team this year.

Auburn's offense is not good. I don't see them beating LSU this year. Or Bama. Probably won't beat A&M or State either.
Re: Auburn game 9/27/2014
I didn't read this whole thread, but I thought Auburn was good. They may not be the top team in the country, but they will contend. We did not play badly (for our team this year). We would have beat NWState badly with the game we played last night. We didn't let it get out of control too early yesterday and competed - costly mistakes hurt us, that won't happen in CUSA.
I watched some other CUSA teams this week and didn't see any that are hands down better than us.
Re: Auburn game 9/27/2014
I've seen worse SEC refs. The thing that stood out were three ball spots. Two of them were when after our 3rd down runs. I realize the "yellow line" is not offcial, but the ref spotted the ball behind where the ball had clearly been carried to. HORRIBLE spots on those two...then one time when Auburn clearly was behind the yellow line, the spot was a foot over the yellow line.
Several missed holding calls on Auburn, but they finally called him late in the game after he tackled our guy for the 3rd time.

Totally agree!!!!!!!!!
Re: Auburn game 9/27/2014
True, refs didn't help us yesterday. In fact, they made our task a little more difficult than it should have been. But....news flash!....refs are not perfect and make mistakes. And, refs are just humans (really???) and know who pay their salaries, in this case the SEC.
BUT! AU is just better than we are and the refs did NOT change the outcome. Not that anyone on this board is alledging that. We needed to play a practically mistake-free game, and we needed AU to make a bunch of mistakes....which they didn't. Game came down to athletes. Score was 24-10, AU facing a crucial 3rd down, where our D had done a great job all day, and bam! And then, minutes later, bam again on the punt return, 38-10, game, set....and almost match. Big plays made by superior athletes.
Reminder: AU is pretty salty! A legit contender to reach the Final Four. Yeah, they have a super tough schedule ahead and might lose a couple of games that knock them out, but it will tough for any team to beat them.

I hope they totally crush lsu next week. Of course, we banged them up pretty good, so they need to do some healing.

Marshall.

Vegas says Auburn -9.5 which is a pretty big blast for the other team.

And while we are on the subject on ball spots, Tech got a couple of favorable spots too. One that didn't count was on a Tech first down called back by a blatant Henderson hold...the ball was spotted about a yard past where Lee went out of bounds.
Until they start putting microchips in the ball and use laser technology to spot the football, there are going to be spotting mistakes made in every game. And current officiating mechanics will not fix that.

Not sure where all the tigger love comes from on this board. If BRCC had been playing any other team other than New Mexico State last night, those four first quarter turnovers would have been a killer. less has now had to show the hand he was hoping he could save until later in the season.
Re: Auburn game 9/27/2014
Lspoo is really good on D and very bad on O. Their D prevented those FOUR, count 'em, FOUR 1st qtr TOs hurting them. Well, not the NMSU ever had a prayer of winning that game.
The worst part is the Facebook video I got of my granddaughter decked out in a puke purple/vomit yellow cheerleader's outfit rooting for the tiggers. Egad! It was her first LSpoo game, my son so proudly posted. (gonna be writing some people out of my will....)
