Re: Why Must Democrats Tell Lie?
The only part that may not be a lie is...."As a kid, I never asked my mom for documentation..." Of course, I say MAY not be a lie, because we don't really know, and there's no way to prove or disprove if she indeed, never asked for documentation. We only have the word of a documented liar! But, it's plausible, so we can grant Eliz "Pochahontas" Warren that part.
Also note, how even as a young injun girl, she was okay with being "undocumented." It's in their lib blood, I tell ya!

Pawdawg, you never got around to explaining which part of this is a lie.
Re: Why Must Democrats Tell Lie?
Exactly! Warren is claiming that her mother IS SO NATIVE AMERICAN!!!! That her father's family knew it and was disturbed by it. Turns out her mother is nowhere near that much NA. And the DNA test proves it. She is a liar...but that is being redundant. She's a Dem and that equals LIAR.
But, I take offense at all of this. My wife is Native American, registered on the Ebarb Choctaw-Apache Tribe's rolls. She is a wonderful person. I definitely married up! In fact, when I was courting her, one of my rivals for her hand referred to her as "an Indian princess."
Just stop it goosey, just stop it. I'm tired of this crap. Move on. Yes, this issue will resurface when Warren runs for the Dem nomination for POTUS. But, for now, everyone else has moved on.

So her parents didn’t elope?

Oh yeah? Why did they elope? How do you know that wasn’t the reason?

And why can’t you explain what exactly the lie is?

Obviously not because she was a large part indian. The DNA test you are so hung up on proves that she was lying about why they eloped.

She didn’t say she was “a large part Indian” though. If you are a racist, whether someone is part or full-blooded of the perceived “inferior” race, it may make no difference.
Re: Why Must Democrats Tell Lie?
The whole thing is silly, but just to play devil's advocate, 23andme.com estimated that 3% of white people that think they are completely white have African DNA from within 10 generations. On the other side, about 20% of African Americans who assume they are fully black have Caucasian ancestry within 10 generations. What would society say if those 3% of whites listed themselves as black, or those 20% of African Americans listed themselves as white?
And from a football perspective, what about George O'Leary? He lied about lettering in football in college and completing a Master's degree (he only took 2 classes)...all invented after he was an assistant coach at a 1A school. Notre Dame stood by him after it was revealed he didn't letter, but accepted his resignation when he said he had a master's degree when he had only taken 2 classes (kinda like claiming to be American Indian when you have to go back 6 to 10 generations). Obviously the lettering and degree played no part in his value as a coach.

She has said her mom was 1/2 in some stories. Turns out, her mom might have had a 16xgrand parent (at best) who was indian. That would have gone back approximately 300 years or to the early 1600s. Yeah, I'm sure the local folks in Oklahoma thought that was scandalous.

You have a quote where she said her mom was 1/2 NA? The analysis says Warren’s NA ancestor was most probably 6-10 generations earlier.

I'll play along with your numbers.
6 would be 1810. 10 would be 1730. Yes, Oklahoma peeps were in an uproar because her 6xgreat or 10xgreat grand parent was an indian. Good grief man...

Racists are inherently illogical.
Native American heritage being a negative thing back then was a bigger deal than you are portraying.

“If someone was not white, they were a little bit less of a citizen,” said Matt Reed, the curator of the American Indian Collections at the Oklahoma Historical Society in Oklahoma City, whose mother was a Pawnee Indian. “If you had darker skin, you were a lesser human. So, if your skin was light enough to pass as not being Indian, then you just passed as white and your life was a lot better off. A lot more people did that than you might think.”
Born and raised in Arizona, Ina Mapes visited her grandmother and other Reed relatives in Okmulgee, Okla., every summer. Her grandmother, by then widowed, often talked about her son’s Indian blood, which she said he inherited from his father, Everett Reed. While Laura Reed was proud of her son’s heritage, Mapes said, her own mother was distinctly not. Both of the older women would independently harangue young Ina on the topic, in part of their ongoing dispute. A lawyer consumed by his practice, Charlie Reed did not weigh in on the matter.
“I was torn between those two women because they did not get along,” said Mapes. “It was two women fighting over this man and his being an Indian.”
Re: Why Must Democrats Tell Lie?
People back then had no idea what/where their 6xgreat grand parent came from. The small town neighbors certainly didn't know and it is VERY unlikely that her ancestors even came from Oklahoma. Oklahoma was not settled until the late 1800s. Keep in mind, if she had an indian ancestor it would have been at LEAST 80 years before and possibly over 150 years, but you keep believing that she knew about her ancestors. Most anybody else her age (now days) can look up lineage and find out EXACTLY who their ancestors were, where they lived, and where they are buried. She can't.
