No matter who the coach is next year I think we need to look for a JC Qb that can play right away. Can redshirt the freshmen Qbs, and Higgins/Young can be backups. Unless one improves over the offseason. Obviously OL will be a question mark as well. I've seen post on here about talent. Minus the quarterback, I think we will have some pretty good skilled players on offense. Receivers...Turner(probably be the best we have), I think DeClouette will continue to improve, I think Johnson has the potential, Taylor, and Lee. Running backs...Dixon, King, and Martin isn't a bad third back at all. I think we have the playmakers. We just need someone to get them the ball, and an offense that fits their strengths.

Yes. As opposed to us. Why? Because CAL's brand of football is exciting, and CAL plays a REAL football schedule. LA Tech on the other hand, plays a shitty schedule and is still driving people away in droves by playing B-O-R-I-N-G football. I know people who WILL NOT be coming back to Ruston as long as Holtz is at the helm.

Like it or not Guisslapp, this is about ENTERTAINMENT. Dykes' brand of football is very entertaining, while Holtzs' is not. Earlier this season I compared Holtzs' brand of football to watching paint dry. And frankly, that's being generous.

52-14 is not too far removed from that and we still have NWST and USL on the schedule for next year...

Can't really judge by this year. As we get better at QB, I think it will be more entertaining. I believe we will see more uptempo as our QB gets better at presnap reads and his decisonmaking.

Ahem.....look into the mirror dude. Rice could have easily beaten LA Tech 63-13. And that's RICE!!

At least Dykes can argue that he lost to Stanford, the #8 team in the country.

Yes. Cal fans should be more patient. Their new coach inherited a team that went 3-9 last year and played one of the toughest schedules in the country this year. Skip on the other hand...

You're a fool. But I did enjoy watching CAL play a few games this fall. I can't say the same for LA Tech.

Are you serious believing they would not kick our butt if we played them? They would, ULL will next year, Northwestern probably will, Ruston High would, Cedar Creek would. We will not beat anyone with your coach at the helm. We are dreadful!

No, I'm saying watching a 1-11 team get their butts kicked every week cannot be fun and exciting for the fans.
