I don't know why so many Tech fans are afraid to fire Skip. He doesn't walk on water. In fact, Skip is a bottom half of CUSA coach for sure. USM (Hopson is undefeated against Holtz), FIU (8-3), UNT (8-3), Marshall 7-3), UAB (9-2), FAU (5-6, but won CUSA title last year) & MTSU (7-4) all have better coaches than Tech. That's 7 teams. And we'll find out this week if Skip is better than WKU's coach. If WKU defeats Tech this Saturday, you can officially declare Skip the 9th best coach in the 14-team CUSA.
We can find a lot of coaches who can coach our football team better than Skip does.

That comment makes no sense to me. Perhaps you need more time away from the board. ;)

If we lose to WKU I will jump on the train. We are not good this year, but if we go 8-4 AND curb stomp in another bowl game, I will give him a break. I think he has held onto J'Mar too long, and is conservative in his play calling, but he has brought a few good things to the table to get us at least solid year in and year out. It's not easy for us little guys to at least be in the picture with big time recruits, and send guys to the NFL year after year, but he and his staff has done it. But he is on the clock for me right now. I'll spit fire this weekend if we lay another egg.

For me, it's not about the wins, it's how unbelievably BORING Tech offense has become. For the first time, the last two weeks, in the middle of the games, I started thinking about all the time and money I waste watching this boring crap.

EXACTLY. This is the 21st century. I got other crap to do. Entertain me, make me want to come back. I swear, we expect casual fans to come to games when I dread next week AS A DIEHARD.

The quickest way out is a graduate transfer qb. Skip's approach hasn't varied much his entire tenure and things were a heckuva lot better in 2014-2016.
I cannot stand Skip's conservative approach, it gets us every year, but this outright miserable product started in 2017.

This is all intentional.
We are trying to keep our real offense hidden until the bowl game so our opponent will not be able to prepare properly.
It's a strategy.
