A while back I posted that I had gone to Logan’s and noticed the Miller Lite LA Tech sign was missing and had asked the manager where it was, and he said are you Tech people and we said yes and he said it was broken so it would be back.
Well tonight again I asked the manager where the sign was and reminded him that he had told me it would be back. He said I’m not what you would call a Tech hater, but I not a fan either. I said many of your customers are and you have an lsu sign up, you took the Tech sign down and your parents went to Tech so what is going on. He said my parents knew better than to send me there and walked away as I was telling him we would never be back. Even my wife was shocked at his attitude and said I did a good job of remaining calm.
You didn't contact the regional manager or someone even more higher up about his attitude and demeanor to customers? I can't imagine them having a problem with his loyalties to an institution, but how he treats his customers is a different matter.

Hmmm..that's interesting..Well how does Rayville,La, population of roughly 4,000, have the market to support a Tanger Outlet Mall comprised of 150 stores. It's scheduled to be up by 2014. It just seems like karl wouldn't have invested so much into a nice retail development that's come to a screeching halt.

1) let me know in 2014 when 150 stores are up and running. I'll hold my breath.
2) Karl's development is a long way from I-20.
3) it hasn't come to a "screeching halt." It is developing at a much slower pace than anticipated.

Man, they need to put that Tanger Outlet Mall in Ruston.

That's funny right there!

Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
I know some of the biggest and most kick ass CRE developers in the SE and in Texas. Not one of them has hinted that Rayville is on their mind.
Hell, some are still recovering from the last 5 years. No way does someone gamble on Rayville after the last 5 years. Even If a group was to get together they will not be strong enough to get a decent construction/mini perm and takeout commitment.
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
What's new to eat in Ruston that I can't find every 50 miles of interstate highway in 'Merica?

I concur. That's what's puzzling. It's been reported in the news that they have an agreement or agreed in principle with Tanger Outlet mall to develop there. http://myarklamiss.com/fulltext?nxd_id=166042
You would think a college town like Ruston would be more ideal.

What part of that article tells you they have an agreement?
Smith and other city officials are talking with Tanger Outlet Centers about bringing the mall to a 200 acre lot near the Rayville exit off Interstate 20
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
It'll probably go the way of that big, new theater we were promised in Ruston.

From the article: The mall would have up to 150 stores inside, bringing 800 new jobs to the area, plus an estimated $50 million in sales taxes. The city did an assessment finding up to 100,000 people traveled along I-20 in the past six months.
Lets see... that's 550 people a day traveling interstate and at 8.5% sales tax that would be almost $600 million in sales.
I think someone needs to buy a couple of decimals somewhere.:shocked2:
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
Could it be they aren't considering Ruston since it's so close to the almost-closed one in Arcadia? Did it start out as a tanger mall? Regardless, it's fading away so they may not want theirs so close to it. If they can't support we can't either is their thinking? I would like a nice one like in Gonzales or Terrill.
