Georgia was only a couple seconds away from playing for the BCS Championship last year. They ran out of time on the 5-yard line against Bama in the SEC Championship game.

Georgia has rarely been able to win in a crucial game. I also think they are always overrated.

I'm not a Georgia fan, but 12 wins is 12 wins.
How high to you have to be ranked that 12 wins makes you overrated? Did someone predict they were going to win the championship last year?

I agree. I always get disappointed with their seasons because I like Georgia and start to think they are always overrated until I realize the only teams they lose to are teams rated higher (generally). Of all the Big 5 schools, Georgia is the one I most would like to see win the NC. I always think South Carolina is overrated as well because they seem to struggle with seemingly weaker teams, but they have been winning too and deserve their rankings. It's funny how one moment's perspective can differ so drastically in a week's time.

Not remotely close to the same thing. Georgia had the football first and goal from inside the 5-yard line against Bama in the SEC championship game when time ran out on them. Given 10 more seconds or one more timeout, Georgia would have likely won the championship. Buy a couple more Powerball tickets, and you still wouldn't win the jackpot.
Richt has won 2 SEC championships and 4 more SEC East division titles (including the last 2). That means Richt has won the SEC East in 50% of his seasons at Georgia. In his 12 years as head coach, he has finished in the Top 25 in 10 of the 12 years and in the Top 10 in 50% of his seasons. He's 118-40 overall. That's a pretty dang good resume. He's done everything but win a mythical national title.
