Just back from a follow up with my primary care doctor. She was reviewing the charts/reports from the two ERs and ICU I have recently visited. She shakes her head, mumbles "lucky to be alive." I will never lose my sense of humor, or my positive demeanor. It's who I am. But seriously folks, I came really, really close to not making it. I ignored the swelling in my leg thinking it would pass. Nope! Doctor said, "You think you're bullet proof." Not anymore, I don't. Please, again as a PSA...don't assume that little thing is just a little thing. Seek medical attention.
