Thought ya'll might like this - got it from an AU fan who emailed us -
Your "post your Auburn experience section" has been tweeted, and emailed to lots of Auburn fans (it has been sent to me 3 times today by seperate groups of Auburn fans). Your fans positive experiences have made us proud of our town. Thanks to everyone for coming and good luck to you guys the rest of the season.
Yeah, the corndogs tell me that Auburn is the meanest place they ever travel, but I think that's just a reaction to the typical asshole-ishness that comes from LSUcks fans. I did actually dress up a corndog buddy of mine in some Tech blue to come with me to the game, and that all went well. We both had a great time in Auburn.... except for the fact that I caught the damn SWINE FLU!!!! He didn't get it somehow, but my girlfriend and I are both doing terribly this week. Fun times...
There was one guy in the middle of the Tech section with an LSU shirt on.
The foolishness of these people.
He was ridiculed appropriately.
I wanted to thank all of the Auburn fans and the University for putting on one of the best game day experiences in college football. The only thing that I haven't seen mentioned here yet is how awesome the Auburn band was and how it added to the game experience.
We very much appreciate the kind words. The Auburn Family has always taken pride in sportsmanship and class. The group of Bulldogs I met seemed to take pride in the same.
I apologize if this was posted before but, if not, I thought you might enjoy it (again).
Spirit took a quick look at the student section but, after seeing that all was good, turned her attention to the visitor section. No problems there but she seemed to sense something. It must have been the few corndogs described in earlier posts. First pass showed that all was well but she still had the "feeling". One more pass and still no problems. Nothing but good people supporting their team. She took a look outside the stadium but, soon after, returned again to find that corndog. Finally she saw them but, after quickly determining that the Bulldogs had them well in check, decided that it was football time. What better way to announce that then to split the uprights and land on the 50. Good Times.
Thanks for making the trip to Auburn.
P.S.
To the Bulldogs who I met at the hotel at 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning, and then met again while they were opening the "1st" beer of the day at 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning, you're stronger than I.
