I've probably had Fish & Chips 3-4 times in my life. The best I had was in Ft Worth (yes, land locked probably flash frozen shipped cod fish), but it was pretty good. I'm not a baller yet like Dawgpix going to places like "Martha's Vineyard". :icon_wink:

Makes me happy and mad at the same time. Mad I have lived here this long and not been there but happy I have a new place to try out.

Also in Fort Worth Joe T Garcias enchiladas are great. Serve only two things enchiladas and fajitas. Both are awesome. Atmosphere on the weekends is fantastic. Lots of talent on display.

I'll second that.....their pies weren't too shabby either.
Re: Best thing I ever ate?
The best blackened redfish I ever ate was at a fishing camp out of Golden Meadows .... the 2nd best was at a holeinthewall gas station converted to a restaurant in Jackson MS (can't recall the name).....neither are probably around any longer anyway.
Re: Best thing I ever ate?
The best gwumpkies and kielbasa I ever ate was at a place (long gone now) alongside Hoosac Lake, Cheshire, MA.

I love Johnny's Pizza but Mark Twains Pizza in Metairie was great back in the early 90's - anyone know if they are still open?

What no pierogies and sauerkraut not to mention the beats and horseradish?
I didn't even like sauerkraut until I married my Polish wife. Her sauerkraut with kielbasa and pierogies is outstanding.

I'm pretty proud of my food too. Maybe we need a BB&B food contest at one of the football games.

Someone early on posted charboiled oysters from Dragos. Since I live 10 minutes away, my roommate and I went to have some. They were great!
